Auntie Em

So the big announcement is that I AM GONNA BE AN AUNTIE! The coolest Auntie EVER may I add. Totally loving it!! There's gonna be a little baby Bowley, cannot wait! Been waiting friggin' 12 weeks to tell the world - finally!

It's been a weird week other than that, IBS is back to torment me and i've generally been feeling weird. Weird probably equals IBS. Ugh it's been actual soul destroying and the sad thing is that isn't even an understatement.

Christmas is next week and I still haven't finished my Christmas shopping, mostly because i've run out of money. Uh ohs. I need to finish wrapping the gifts I do have today, I never realised how much I actual hate wrapping. Plus i'm really bad at it. I should really take on board Smithy's Fold and Scrunch idea of tin foil. What a winner.

It's actual frozen and I feel like my fingers are going to drop off so i'm cutting this short.

Millie dog is here, laying on my bed - she's such a beaut, I love her! We will be going on a big walk later :) Caaaaaaaio.

LAD

I'm pretty sure it's not right for the trueLAD website (www.truelad.com) to be helping me through the day. However, it is some of the best reading i've done in a long time. Comedy + an insight into what the average LAD does on a night out/in general life.

I am excited to learn that the one I call Paul Wiseall may be dropping by at some stage next week for his birthday fun - how exciting! Haven't seen him since feb so will be cool beans.

Amazon are banging out some amazing deals for 'black friday week'. Could have bought Harry Potter 1 - 6 on Blu-ray if it wasn't for the fact it sold out within a nano second.

Tonight is Marinated Chicken Monday! Favourite evening of the week (aside from the standard weekends) This follows on from a pretty cool weekend. Friday night I went for Curry & Wine with Dawne and Tracey, I have to say considering I was in Gospit the curry was actually very VERY good!

Tracey had the obligatory Tarka Dhal (Spelling?!)with some curry i'd never heard of. (I am cultured, or at least I like to think I am but seriously did not know what this was...) I had a Biriyani, Dawne had standard Chicken Tikka (not a fan of curry but comes along for the laugh) onion bhajis and Naaaaaan. Made for a good evening and I stayed at Dawne's. Her house is like the ice age except without the funny squirrel thing and the friendly mammoth. However, She is not to blame for this as her house is without heating. Lucky there were two of us in the room and I was rather toasty all night, that is until I got up for the loo and could barely move from actual frostbite. (Slight exaggeration).

Saturday was the return of Kev Smith's birthday and that meant only one thing - fancy dress. The theme was clowns but for some unknown reason I was roped in to go as Wagner from X Factor by my entire family. Probably the most uncomfortable fancy dress ever. Not only did I look like a man, but I literally looked exactly like my dad. Drinking pints was the worst idea ever. The night itself was actually fun though and we witness Kev proposing to Sarah which was just beautiful even if they were dressed as clown ans he resembled Krusty. I love a proposal, very happy for them! Jay and I left with Damo and Cags about 12:30, woke up with a hangover but nothing a Chairmakers Carvery couldn't sort out!

Watched X Factor and laughed at Wagner's attempt to be Wagner (I thought ours was better) Got dressed and ready for Jay to take me for lunch. We decided on a countryside destination which was The Chairmakers. Never been there before but heard good things and the Carvery was MASSIVE. Three MEATS! I would be interested to know if anybody has ever made a fool out of themselves whilst queuing for carvery? No? Some how I managed this when I was "I'll have Beef and Gammon" "Erm, i'm afraid that's lamb, madam". Okay 1. HOW RUDE. I mean I know my eye sight temporarily deceived me (I put this down to hangover) but no need to speak to me like i'm three. 2. MADAM? I beg your pardon young man. He was about 16, and I am not madam. I suppose it's better than MAM, I may have slapped him had this been the case.

After all that fun and games I now find myself here. Going back to the top I leave you with a few of my favourite LAD quotes from truelad.com

Shopping with the gf(8/10 so underthethumbLAD) and we are in river island for easily an hour as ahe trys things on. Another lad hes in the same position and has been waiting at the fitting room as long as me. Start talking and within 2 mins we head for a pint while they try clothes on. RandomLADgoodideas

Walking through the town centre the other day and see a photo shoot for a local college's prospectus, seeing as they didn't seem like they were paying attention to who they were taking pictures of i decided to get in on the action. me and the LADs then decided to see how many different college prospectuses we could get in. There are 18 schools within reasonable walking distance of my house and i am now in 7 prospectuses, 3 of which i'm on the front cover. anywhereandeverywhereLAD

The Adventures of EG in the MO

I just pretty much had the best ham sandwich ever. Just Ham and Mayo, nothing more, nothing less - IT WAS SO GOOD!

Now that's out the way and I break the glorious news that I got an IOW Festival ticket today! Thanks to Dawne, yippee! KOL are headlining on the Friday night - I can safely say this will make my life. I almost cannot contain myself! FINALLY, I will get to see them. I have waited long enough.

Now that marvy news is out the way I better fill in on what i've been up to. Mostly spending time with Jayboy, went to Southampton at the weekend for Vicster's b-day. It was alright, lovely to see some people. Can't say the hotel was up to much but it did point me in the direction of some pretty funny Aussies/Kiwi's. I think one was called Nathan and the other was called Cohen (Yeah, I asked him if that was a real name, apparently it is..) Didn't get to sleep till 4am, woke up again at 8:30am got ready and drove home - oh yes this brings me onto my other news! I GOT A NEW CAR! Finally, the poor 205 had to go but now I am the proud owner of a 2002 British Racing Green Mini ONE. Hell yeeeahh! It's gorgeous and I just love love love driving it around! The Green Machine!

This weekend I am going to a fancy dress party as Wagner, I do hope people get it because if they don't it'll just be embarrassing and nobody wants that. Friday it's curry nght with TB and Dawne - since everybody else dropped out we've gone for a low key event in Gosport - yeah GOSPORT! It's not THAT bad, or at least that is what I tell myself. ON a better note, we will have immense fun and on the plus side this Indian we're going to has literally the best reviews for a restaurant i've ever seen! One guy said he's been going there since he was 8, he's now 36. Now THAT, is devotion!

It's Wednesday - half way through the week, bring on the weekend! XOXO

Kingfisher

Last night was frickin' awesome! 4th time of seeing Stereophonics, 4th time AND BEST! Oh yes! It was fanfuckingtastic. I'm still feeling like i'm there singing along. Gaaaaaaaa!

In no particular order they played -

Thousand Trees
Last of the Big Time Drinkers
Billy Davies Daughter
Looks Like Chaplin
More Life in a Tramps Vest
Too Many Sandwiches
Same Size Feet
Traffic
Not Up To You
Goldfish Bowl
Check My Eyelids for Holes
Local Boy in the Photograph
+ ALL B SIDES

Had TWO oncors. Only Stereophonics could get away with TWO oncors.

Second oncor they played Wouldn't believe your radio, Pick a part that's new, Just Looking, Maybe Tomorrow, Have a Nice Day and then he simply said "10 minutes left, 2 songs, Dakota and Bartender.". DONE AND DONE. Best night of my life. Absolutely blew me away. Was only suppose to be a gig devoted to the first album - they actually ended up saying "We're just making this up as we go along, Wouldn't believe your radio?" YES PLEASE.

To top it off managed to get a lift off Steve home. Beats the Train! I will remember last night for the rest of my living days for many reasons. It was my teens all rolled up into a 2 hour long set. Bloody brilliant.

Now for a trip to Asda at lunch to purchase new King of Leon Album - who says Mondays are shit?

Yop and such

So i'm making Enchiladas tonight. Let's hope it goes well or i'm in danger that Dawn will never speak to me again - uh oh! Starting Greys Season 5 with her tonight, yes!

I was having a re-read moment last night whilst trying to find a bit of info I KNEW I had written here in 2007 (I am finding all kinds of purposes for this blog, yay!) anyway; in searching for such info I realised my older posts are undoubtedly more interesting then the most recent. This needs to be rectified immediately. Slight problem though - not sure if anything i'm doing right now is THAT interesting. Hmph.

This weekend I am going to see Stereophonics which will be rather aces, next weekend I am going to a party on the Saturday night with Jay to meet a load of people i've never met and next Sunday I am going to Thorpe Park for Fright Night. I'm really glad my Mum is coming! She'll think i'm mental because the last time we went to a theme park together I held the bags on every ride. I've changed! Week after that i'm off to IOW for Calum's birthday. I really hope Jay enjoys himself, always get a bit worried about him :/ !

Tomorrow we are playing footy well I say we, I mean Portsmouth FC (or what is left of it) will we win? Only time will tell. Must must MUST stop in to see my Grandparents before the match. Wonder if Jayboy will be attending with me? Probs not!

11:17...... this day is officially dragging!

NB: I am very jealous of Charlotte and Harriet who are currently living it up in New Zealand.

Angry Birds and Such

Today is bad. Very very bad. I thought last night was bad but today is a whole other story.

Last night I spent time in my room alone, watching re runs of inbetweeners and Hugh's River Cottage wotsit (Which I actually love, I just don't know the name of it...). Although I do not believe for one second that he convinced a guy that celery was nice - CELERY IS THE DEVIL. I bet it's even worse mixed with Oranges. Ew. However Carrots and Cumin, mmm yum! Skip the orange, why people feel the need to add sweet sugary juice to lush savoury carrots is beyond me. Forget it.

This morning was started by some random men laughing at me in the car park - if you're going to leave your car in the middle of the car park then I am going to take a free space. Apparently it was his - well snooze you lose fella!

The top comment was perhaps a slight exaggeration. Tonight is going to be good - Boyfriend, curry, TV, Films. This will be good. Good, good good. I wish boys did think a little bit more, I suppose it's because their brains are so tiny they're just not capable or some things. Oh well.

Next weekend is Sterephonics doing Word Gets Around - YES. This is the most exciting thing I will go to this year. FACT. I have loved them since I was small, to hear the entirety of their first album will be legendary - LEGENDARY! Cannot wait, i'm bursting with excitement. Week after that we're off to Thorpe Park Fright Night which is always fun, fun/scary, whatever. The week after THAT we're going to Isle Of Wight for Callums party - fun times! Yay! November will be decidedly quiet since i'm going to have to start buying Christmas presents. It's so close, where the hell has this year gone? :/ So much has happened though, it's been a great year in general. The next few months are going to be hard but i'm pretty much strong as the strongest man on earth so it's fine!

I entered the world of iPhone 4 t'other week. I have to say it's a grand piece of science. Not sure if I can call it science but i'm going to anyway. Angry birds has already taken over my life although I have found the strength to walk away (and look on you tube for how to do it..) when i'm stuck. (See upper strong comment!)

Now, I am going to town to treat myself because I CAN.

The Perfect Two

You can be the peanut butter to my jelly
You can be the butterflies I feel in my belly
You can be the captain and I can be your first mate
You can be the chills that I feel on our first date

You can be the hero and I can be your side kick
You can be the tear that I cry if we ever split
You can be the rain from the cloud when it's storming
Or you can be the sun when it shines in the morning

Don't know if I could ever be
Without you cause you complete me
And in time I know that we'll both see
That we're all we need

Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry

Cause your the one for me
And I'm the one for you
You take the both of us
And we're the perfect two

You can be the prince and I can be your princess
You can be the sweet tooth I can be the dentist
You can be the shoes and I can be the laces
You can be the heart that I spill on the pages

You can be the vodka and I can be the chaser
You can be the pencil and I can be the paper
You can be as cold as the winter weather
But I don't care as long as we're together

We're the perfect two.

Concrete Jungle

NEW YORK was AMAZING. It's in capitals, deal with it!

Even though it made me the tiredededest EVER, I had the most incredible time. We did all the general sight seeing and SHOPPING. Oh the shopping was radical! Felt like a tiny fish in the biggest ocean but it was a fab feeling!

Times Square was insane, even more insane than I remembered it. I've learnt the Upper East Side isn't all posh and whatnot. Infact some part are quite ghetto - ahem 73rd and York ave! Is it normal for criminals to pose as police in order to commit crimes against residents? Not sticking around to find out! 5 nights was enough there!

Dawn got mugged off by some 'charity' people. I say charity loosely as they were collecting so their high school basketball team could go on holiday to Florida....not really the kinda of charity I want to be giving to. They managed to squeeze a dollar out of me but it the jackpot with Dawn at $20. Mental. We got over it by our trip on the Staten Island Ferry which was great! Bloody busy but great all the same.

Came accross some proper rude people and some seriously nice folk. i.e Charlie our second taxi driver with his tales of being a new york city cab driver, and Micha, our lovely waitress in Bubba Gump Shrimp! Best restaurant ever ever ever! Can't wait to go back!

I can honestly say my feet have never been so sore from walking. Literally would collapse into bed every night! Totally worth it though, the best way to see everything. We did Rockafeller Center at night and the Empire State Building in the day - both incredible. The views were indescribable. I have pics on Facebook but for your viewing pleasure here is the contrast -

Truly amazing. I couldn't ever imagine living there, I couldn't keep up! The way of life is so busy, and they tip using notes! Ugh!

We packed up our stuff after our trip of a life time and headed to the airport (a full 10 hours before our flight....insane) however we did catch a glimpse of none other than Samuel L Jackson on our flight home! "Get these Motherfuckin' snakes of this Motherfuckin' plane!" Bahahaha, seriously wanted him to re-enact a scene or something! Except obvs without actual real snakes. Eesh.

Great, great holiday and I will definitely be going back! One of my favourite places in the world for sure. Next Stops Vegas and Florida! Yessssssssss!

I left my heart in NYC

Neeeeeeeeeeeeeew Yoooooooork.

Yes indeedy, 2 more days at work (including today) and then i'm jetting off to the big apple. Excited like never before! Nervous cos I haven't been away from Jay for this long in the whole 7 months we've been together buuuuuuut, once i'm on my way i'm hoping i'll be okay! Yeah yeah, i'm a love sick puppy.

This weekend was pretty cool, I got a new piercing. Astounded at how painless it was. Pretty much hurts now though, bummer. Sleeping is a serious issue on my left side. I really should have thought this through since I really like sleeping on that side. Infact, I sleep on a variety of sides, back. Never front, which is odd because I used to sleep on my front when I was little a lot. I find watching people sleep quite fascinating (In all ways other than creepy...). Jay sleeps hugging the pillow or on his back. For the life of me I can't work out why he used to snore like an elephant when we first got together, but now he seems to have stopped almost entirely. Maybe he was just testing me! Teehee.

Went on a treasure hunt yesterday, which to be fair was a total rip off. There wasn't even any treasure. I was expecting cold coins and diamond bracelets. On the other hand I didn't pay anything so I can't really complain. Safe to say it was fun for the first two hours but the last 3 weren't great. That's 3 hours i'll never get back. Onwards and upwards.

Tonight i'm baking and seeing Becca, tomorrow i'll be savouring my time with Jayboy before my 6 days in NYC. I will miss him dearly, he is my little pea!

Today is being slowish, although i'll be damned - it's 11:30. Almost lunch!

Thinking about buying some new headphones at the airport. Our time will be spend browsing the shops and eating brekkie! Gutted we're not flying from T5 or T1 since those terminals have a giraffe in them! Grrr, annoying! Whetherspoon will probably be our option.

Buffet at work tomorrow! Excellent excuse for not bringing any lunch. Wooppee!

With very VERY tired eyes

I am seriously tired all the time. I could probably sleep continuously for 24 hours if it wasn't for the thing we call an Alarm Clock. Or in my case - iPod Touch.

I currently feel like i'm having an out of body experience - I am THAT tired. I am going to go home and crawl into bed, Whymark will have to find his own way in and make his own dinner. This is decided.

Goodnight. Zzzzzz.

Dr Pepper rules my life

Will somebody please tell me how to stop these Chinese morons commenting on my blog?? Gaaaad, bugger off.

I feel a hundred million times better than last week, at one stage I wasn't sure what the hell was happening and whether or not breathing was still a possibility alas, breathing is restored it's normality and everything is marvy once again. Now that is sorted, moving on to the more pressing matter of the Portsmouth Football season. Seriously, seriously bad times. I'm not sure how Saturday is going to go given this Saturday was a total shambles. Not good man :( But hey, what are you suppose to do with a 13 man squad? Bugger all, clearly.

Jay's birthday is in 2 weeks - brilliant, i've got him some pretty rad gifts! He is gonna be totally made up with every single gift. I'm more excited about his birthday than he is! Hahaha. I wish it was my birthday again! Although without the getting older part.

This weekend was overall very good, probably one of the best in the recent weeks. On friday Jay and I got some take-away and watched TV, (general friday night laziness but goodness), Saturday I went shopping with D, bought some nice things for NYC (which BTW is only 29 days away!) and then got home and napped til 7pm! I'm not sure you can call that a nap more like an actual full blown sleep. I began to put the bath on to get all cosy for bed as I thought I was in for a lonely night however during the bath running and the tidying I get a call from my Dad asking me to pick them up from Copnor and go to Waterlooville - we ended up going to see Jay's Dads band at The Heroes and it was a really good night! Sunday was the laziest although I turned into Delia Smith for a small portion of the afternoon and cooked a roast for us. We then played some N+ on the Xbox and watched 'Last House on the Left'. Pretty fucking disgusting if I do say so. At some stages we thought "seriously, what are we watching?" wasn't a totally awful film in the end but it was gross. Hand in the waste disposal....ewwww!!!

There is new blood at work - yessssss. We haven't had anybody new in yearsss! I'm too excited about this. Her name is Josie and so far she seems very nice.

Thursday, 5 August 2010

It's simply love

I'm in Limbo, I had probably the worst sleep I can ever remember having last night and I generally feel bloody awful :( I have that anxiety/worry feeling in my stomach. Trying to drift off to sleep last night wasn't easy and then I woke up about 20 minutes later with serious stomach gripes. I can't go through this again :(

It's only bloody Friday

I am having a seriously good day so far. Not necessarily with things that have happened but with the insane thoughts i'm having which could possibly come true at some point in the future, yippee!

Anyway, enough of that cryptic shit; I went to the movies on Wednesday. Dawn treated me, what a doll! She won the world cup sweepstake so spent her winnings wisely i.e Nandos & Eclipse. It was awesome and we enjoyed ourselves - except we almost threw chunks due to Ben & Jerrys' Hot Fudge Sundae's. Bleurgh. The lady put the wrong sauce in the wrong pots...but we forgave her because she was very generous and I didn't mind cookie dough tbh. We bought a scrap book for NYC (it's got little planes on it and EVERYTHING!) I also bought a passport holder and a few bits for Jay's birthday. Woop woop! NYC is soooooo near i'm peeing a little already.

So Spain won the world cup, totally deserved and I did predict this if I may say so. I should have put some bloody money on it, what an idiot. What a bunch of turds Holland were! Kicking lumps out the Spaniards for 90 mins + pfft, ruuuuuude! Was deffo pleased with Howard Webb though, what a legend. Although should have blatantly sent off De Jong. Having said all this i've decided i don't give a hoot about football anymore since my club is more of a circus than an actual football club. Oh well. Season ticket came in the post yesterday, it looks cheap. COS WE ARE CHEAP. Cheap rubbish. Naw. :(

On a lighter note Jay and I are off to Alton Towers on Thurs, 6 days! I'm sooooo excited since I haven't been there in time that I remember. I think was about 6 last time and my memory is very hazy about this particular event. Plus I think I had a horrific experience involving a bin liner and the log ride. Good thing i've grown to like rides, huh. Jay is driving us up on Thursday afternoon and we stay in THE Alton Towers hotel on Thurs night, Fri night & Saturday night - spending Friday & Saturday in the park. Yay! This is all for a very reasonable price, i'm still smug that we managed to find such a quality deal. Teeheeee!

Jay got a brand spanking new phone yesterday, it's made me hate my Nokia 5800 scratched piece of shit even more than I already did. Roll on Feb.

Things are allllll good in my world right now, except for the wanting to curl up a die IBS moment on Monday - I seriously do not even wish that upon my worst enemy. Dear God, I was in some serious pain. I've stocked up on every IBS medication going though, so i'm hoping this will deter the devil indefinitely. Probably a bit much to ask though so let's just hope for a really fucking long time.

I've decided I swear too much. This is not good. Jay's Mum said she didn't like Steve from Big Brother because he swore ONCE. Crumbs, I should probably attempt to contain my potty mouth at all times in front of teeny Tina. She is but a total beauty though so I doubt there would be much cause for such obscenities around her.

Speaking of BB, when are Triple J gonna get it on? Huh, HUH?

Summer Sun!

Wowza's. It's been a fair while old chums.

So a lot has happened -

*I went to Turkey for 2 weeks
* I went to Isle of Wight Festival

Okay so not LOADS but those things are pretty big things! Turkey was amezzin! 2 week holiday with my boy and the rest of the fam & friends. Abby's wedding was so wonderful - she looked a total beaut! There were many tears shed. We ate some great meals out, went go karting (which I was totally rubbish at, I was lapped about 10 times. Not good!), went on a hawaiian boat trip & many more things. Jay got too drunk and threw chunks on the stag night, I came home to him having thrown on the bed sheet - mmm!! All in all a great time was had! Can't wait to go back next year for Dad's 50th. Yippee!

I was back at work from holiday for no more than 3 days before I was off again to IOW Festival. Ended up being 'The festival mole' for Galaxy Radio with Ben Glover. How random!? Saw some quality things. Kanye West appearing from no where onstage with Jay-Z was a highlight as was P!nk flying across the crowd on a wire, Crowded House singing Damo's & Caroline's wedding song, Friendly Fires just being Friendly Fires, Mr Hudson, THE STROKES and ahem Paul McCartney - he was sensational. 22 beatles songs out of 35 song set. I am truly surprised he didn't keel over. The only thing missing was Jay and the only bad thing was getting SOAKED on Sunday night. I sat in the rain for literally an hour with Becca. Bad times.

This weekend is Abby & Adam's wedding reception & Mumma's birthday. Next weekend is my birthday & Hop Farm! I cannot wait for Mumford. Wahoo!

Don't even talk to me about The World Cup. How have England managed to be so garbage for 180 minutes? Then have the audacity to moan that fans are booing them - well perhaps if you put in even a tiny bit of effort for your country we might, just MIGHT be a little appreciative. As it is I took 180 minutes out of my week to watch a load of shit. If tomorrow isn't better, i'm gonna be peeeeee'd off!!

OMG it's hotter than a hot sausage on a hot stick outside. Off for a walk!

Monday, 10 May 2010

11 Days!

Last week was the week I voted - For the FIRST TIME. I'm not ashamed to say I don't normally give a shit but this time it was a closer run than it'd ever seen before so I thought why not. Had a little looky at ze manifestos and made my choice. It was an odd experience to be honest, was given two pieces of paper instructed to stand in the wooden booth then a man with a stick asked me if i'd like to 'watch him' whilst he poked my paper into the ballot box. Erm, no thank you.

Last week was also the week in which the post office numb nuts mixed up things for me & Abby which had to be taken back to the post office when they wouldn't fit through our letter box. In turn this made me pick up an amazon parcel for Abby and Abby pick up my brand new kick ass Ray Ban's. We eventually got around the kaffuffle and I am the proud new owner of some immense Ray Ban 2140 with red arms. Holiday times! Bring on the sunshine!

I bought my Hawaiian get up today including a grass skirt, Hula Bra, and a 'Lei' I think that is probably said 'lay' but I have no idea and I blame google. It's the Hawaiian necklacey thing anyway! 11 Days and counting, wahoo!!

Also - I AM ON TV ON MAY 23RD AT 7:30PM ON CHANNEL WATCH. Tune in to watch me make a fool of myself on some rides at Thorpe Park! Wooop!

Cluck Cluck Cluck

So basically i'm probably the happiest i've ever been right now. No word of a lie! You know there's loads of times you actually think you are the happiest ever but then you look back and think wow I was sooo not that happy, this is definitely the opposite to one of those times. Wahoo!

Turkey is 3 weeks away, aaaand I couldn't be more excited! I seriously need to get on with my wedding reading...i'm slightly scared about this :( Although I have made a small amount of progress since starting this blog. I'm actually looking forward to reading it in front of everyone i'm just hoping I don't burst into tears or anything though :/ That would be embarrassing to the max. Abby is a rather emotional person though so i'm not holding out much hope for there to be no tears at all, it took all the strength I had not to shed any at Damo's wedding!!

Just got back from The Hen weekend at Butlins yesterday - it was a blast! Totally loved it, being pink, a Granny and pajama'd! Really had a great time and got to know a few people a little better! Friday I got there about 6pm and wheeled two huge suitcases across the car park, for some reason I picked the car park furthest away from our chalet - brilliant! Had a few drinks and got ready in my 'pink' clothes to go out. We met some strange people including some men on stilts and a pink power ranger. Started off in 'The Swinging Shillelagh' - possibly the most horrific Karaoke bar i've ever been in. Nobody and I mean NOBODY could sing in this place. My ears are actual scarred. Watched 911 (epic!) at 12:30 and then crawled back home to bed about 1:30am. Saturday we did a scavenger hunt and dressed Abby up like Where's Wally - she looked immense! I was in a team with Kate, Caroline and Emma and we came 4th OUT OF 5! What a shambles. We even found a 1979 coin! Had lunch in weatherspoons and went back to get ready for GRANNY'S! The funniest thing I have ever seen was Abby as a Granny, superb. Everybody looked amazing, I was Doris for the evening and Abby was Aida. We all went to a silent disco and Abby did some breakdancing on the floor. Breakdancing Granny - amazing. On the Sunday we went to the Spa which was sweeeeeet! There was a room entirely of ice which you are suppose to stand in, is that a joke? I got in for about 2 seconds and got out again. The point? I do not think there is one. Plus had visions of not actually being able to get out once in and this confirmed to me that I am not a fan of this said ice room. Finished up there and went into Bognor for a Chinese Buffet which was yummmtastic. Sunday night we went out in out pajamas except Mum, Jan, Abby, Emma and Karen ended up looking more like Geisha's...so we all looked a bit silly but it was all good fun! Karen G and I were Mickey and Minnie. Woop!

I was seriously tired everyday, not quite sure what was wrong with me and I seem to have damaged my wrist which pretty much hurts like a bitch.

Missed Jaybird sooooo much when I was away so was grand to see him last night for so many cuddles and a slice of pizza or two :) Bring on more tonight :D

Next stop - Wedding of the year - The Bowley's!

How Messi do you wanna be?

So tonight i'll be getting some R-Patz action. V.much looking forward to this. Plus i've heard from some source that 'Remember me' isn't actually a bad film although the ending apparently a lot of people won't like...great. Can't wait to see what that's all about!

So it's Wednesday (Orange Wednesday, if you will) just had a pretty awesome bank holiday weekend! Thursday night was spent at the balti house introducing Jay to work people and generally having a great time, went for a drink in LJR's then Jay and I made our way back to my house for....sleep. Friday we ate pizza and I met up with friends for a mini pub crawl then went to The Festing with The Whymarks to see a rather unique band who are quite good actually. A man standing up playing the drums...also the lead singer - bizarre-o! Saturday went to the footy which was quite frankly, dull as dishwater. Went to Dawne's for chinese and watch the first half of City smashing Burley 6-1. Oh. Yeah. AND WE BOOKED OUR TRIP TO NYC! Hurrah!! Sooooo excited! Jetting off on Virgin Atlantic Airways on Sept 8th we have a games console in the back of our seat. Fucking amazing.

We watched New Moon, then Dawn fell asleep and I went to Albert road to meet the siblings and the rest of the crew (minus Jay) for a couple of bevvies. I was ridiculously knackered though so ended up driving home instead of staying out. Sunday, I don't even know what happened Sunday. Oh wait, yes I do! It started us having a roast with my lovely grandparents at our house, then we all went down Albert road for a few in LJR's, then we piled in the car to go to the Good Companion to see Dave Barratt play. I was put in the boot. It ended with everyone being quite drunk and us being disappointed that Shirins wasn't open so ended up going for a curry at midnight. To top it off, I opened the door of our taxi to find a ten pound note staring at me. It wanted me, and I wanted it. So that paid for the journey home! Stayed at Jays, and he dropped me to work for the most pointless 4 hours of my life. He then picked me up and we went to the movies to see Kick-Ass which was so KICK-ASS I can't even explain it properly. I want to see it again already! We also went to Strada for dins. Mmmm pizza!

Now back to the drawing board. Arsenal got thumped by Barca last night. Well, I say Barca, I actually mean MESSI. My god have you ever seen such a sickly talent? Unfair to say the least but absolutely utterly mesmerising. Tonight, United are likely to lose to Bayern but i'll be too busy staring at Pattinson to really give a shit.

Caio for now.

Oompa Lumpa Doopeedeedooo!

This is my 223rd post. I figured I better get off 222 anything like that is slightly weird. Like always looking at the clock at 11:11, why do people do that?

In other news, I've discovered a nice little slot in my steering wheel where my phone fits rather nicely. It's great for talking on hands free. In bad news my notes is mugging me off and appears to be grinding to a halt every 10 minutes. B-O-R-I-N-G!

The weekend just gone was pretty rad, spent almost the entirety with Jay, a bit more time with his family which are all amazing. So very friendly and welcoming! Friday we watch sport relief and had some dinner, Saturday we watched Pompey in an epic 3-2 win over Hull with two last minute stunners to win us the match, wahoo! This put me in a great mood to go home and cook chilli. We had taco trays and garlic tear and share. It was yummy, even if I did only get an 8 out of 10. Pah!

Lazy Sunday with Super Sunday. I went home and started to watch Iron Man but fell asleep, I watched the rest yesterday and it was a pretty good film. New found love for RDJr. Yummy! Gonna watch The Lost Boys tonight, then get on to borrowing more movies since Jay's collection is ridiculously large. At least i'll know what to get him for birthdays/christmas!

Turkey was all booked today, craziness! Cannot wait for holiday of a life time! 15 days in the sunshine and a wedding to boot! I have to seriously think of a reading. I'm so stumped. =/

We play Chelsea tomorrow, is there even any point in going? Of course I will attend but it may be at the expense of humiliation. Although to be fair we have fought so hard over the last few matches, bring it on!

Got any Stirrers?

Oh! The weekend was one of the best ever, so eventful!

First time away with Jay, and by the looks of it first of many! :) Friday after work I picked up Jay, went home and skidaddled out the house with the fam for the road trip to scummy slough. Had a bit of a travel duel with Damo as we went different ways, I don't know in what world Dad thought he might win against numero uno fast driver Damo but he did, and alas he didn't. Har har! Although bad times for Jay, Mum and I because we were in the losing car!

We arrived at Travelodge and we each had a family room, £70 for 4 family rooms for 2 nights - I think, ladies & gentleman, that is what we call a BARGAIN.

We all went to the parents room for a small amount of nibbles and began drinking. Champagne and Vodka/Diet Coke's. Boys were on beer. We went to a pub round the corner with the idea of going for some food a bit later on. We all got a bit side tracked in the pub and about 20 million drinks later we were dancing to the band that were playing and some random Ex-England Rugby player called 'The Judge' (I have no idea) started buying us shots. Bad times to be honest. Completely pushed all of us over the edge including Jay who was horrifically ill in the bathroom until at least 2:30am. Eventually he came to bed after i'd been asleep a little while - only to get up and go back to the bathroom, haha aw the poor little love! To be fair he had, had about 5 Jack Daniels, 2 pints, a shot of Sambuca and some champagne. Never mix kids!

We all dragged ourselves out of bed the next day, went to a fry up and then travelling into London. You'd think we'd be able to wal kto the Slough train station with no problems but no, we had to go and find two guinea pigs along the road in a shoe box....RANDOM! So I phoned the RSPCA and tried to save the poor little buggers. It ended up with a bit of a guinea pig chase round Slough as somebody had moved them and the RSPCA called to say they'd gone to pick up the ones i'd reported and they weren't there, then had another report of some guinea pigs in a shoe box in a different place in Slough, I hope they were found... :/ Who would leave two guinea pigs in a shoe box on the street?!

We made it into London after waiting 27 hours at the train station for the stupid train man to process our train vouchers but we eventually got there! Went straight to camden for a little looksy around, ate some yummy food and then headed off to Leicester Square for Alice In Wonderland at the Odeon. A really good film I thought, although for some it may have been an excuse for a little nap! Depp played a great part I think, and 3D was extra goodness! Ate a Curly Wurly and Dad dropped the minstrels all over the floor, it was a stereotypical cinema outing, especially with Damien throwing popcorn at us! We crossed over to Covent Garden and went for a drink in a place called The Porters Inn which was literally a maze! Headed over to The Roadhouse which was amazing! We had dinner and cocktails and there was plenty of bonding going on which was so so awesome! How long have I waited to find someone that ALL my family like and someone that Damo and Ads can get on with? Forever?! This past month has just been totally out of this world and I have not been happier in a long long long longgg while :-) AND he gets to come to Turkey, hoorahhhh! No longer the odd one out, the lonely one, the one with nobody, little old Emily, - I am now Emily, one with a pretty amazing boyfriend!

Jay and I went home a little earlier than everyone else on Saturday night, we were totally flagging, got the train home and went straight to bed, watched Lost on the laptop (Yeah, we're cool) and just generally relaxed. We went on a wild goose chase round Richmond to find a park space eventually Jay, Abby, Caroline and me legged it and went ahead into London. Jay and I went to Camden again and he bought a couple of t-shirts, I picked up some ridiculous glasses for the other two gay boys and saw the most beautiful converse known to man. Purple suede! I realise that sounds vile but they were actually lush. So screw you!

Got home around 7:30, unpacked my stuff, took Jay home and ate some chinese. What a great weekend :)

Right now I am happy happy happy, and it's a gooooooooooood feeling! Bring on more happiness! x

Scream!

Tonight I will be embarking on a weekend away with the family, i'm super excited because for once I will not be the odd one out for I have found a pretty amazing boyfriend (I say found like I just picked him up off the street...) and there will be a nice even number - 8 of us. Woohoo!

Jay met Ads and Damo on Wednesday something I was totally dreading because those boys are well...BOYS. Luckily they were pretty ace and said they thought he was lovely so, so far i'm onto a winner - eeee! I forgot this feeling for so long, and I am so so happy! 2010 is officially greatness.

Met Dawne for Nandos last night - had a great time but not before some complete nutter asked if I could 'keep him in my car', to which I laughed somewhat nervously and said no. Then he asked if I was going on a date to which I said I was meeting a friend. Then he said "Can I come?" Well after a small amount of consideration i've decided I haven't a fucking scooby who you are and you're pretty much harassing me so I'M GOING TO PASS , thank you. I can't imagine he's ever tried that on someone else and it's actually gone well.

Got Bublé tickets today, something to look forward to with TV buddy. Talk of TV buddy!! - Scream if you know the answer is going to be aired on WATCH channel (Sky Digital channel 109 and Virgin TV channel 124) Sunday May 2nd 7pm GET INVOLVED! Not sure entirely when my show is on but that is when the show starts getting aired. Woohoo!!

Wemmmmmbleeeyy!!!!

Pretty much the best weekend this year without fail.

Things that happened:

-Friday night Jay and I went bowling, I absolutely killed him in the second game 155 points, woop! We then went back to his, had a curry, watched Lost, and.
-Pompey beat Birmingham 2-0 in the FA Cup Quarter Final and we now play at WEMBLEY for the Semi-Final. HELL YEAH
-Saturday night, went out with the fam and some friends, the only thing missing was Jay! (HAd another Curry, hmmm overdose slightly.) Met a man who had, had hiccups for the entire day.
-Sunday tried on dresses with Mum and Nanny, went to Jay's, visited Nanny & Grandad, ate dinner at the beefeater, went back to Jay's, fell asleep.

A weekend full of all the things I love. AND, best part is - I think this weekend is going to be even better! We're all off to Slough/London for a meal, 2 nights in a travelodge, portobello road, Alice in Wonderland 3D at Odeon Leicester Sq, The Roadhouse, and many drinks! So excited!

This week itself is pretty cool to be honest. Not sure what is happening tonight but I pretty much think i'm gonna go home and watch The Oscars before Dad goes mental that I used up 5 hours of our recording space on V+ .... whoops! Tomorrow is footy, we're up against Birmingham again. I'm hoping for much of the same as the weekend please! :D Wednesday is ol' Father's birthday - i've got him a cool gift so I can't wait for him to open it! The fam are coming round for takeaway I think as Mother Green is working late so unable to cook. Jay will meet the fam for the first time (well Abs, Ads, Damo and Cags anyhoo). I'm really excited for this because they will definitely like him :) Thursday i'm going to Wharf to meet Dawne for a Nandos. I swear to god my bank account will be broke after the weekend. Not good. Friday out Slough/London adventure begins. Yippee!!

Over and out.

I believe it's called 'ARGH'.

What an absolute douchebag, I am.

Having made a post about how I didn't think anything could go wrong this year, i'm wondering if it is too late to retract? Work seems to be shit, cft/s wants to mug me off at any given opportunity and I seem to have an issue 'going with the flow' or whatever it's called.

This is all a bit too dramatic for my liking. I need a new job.

ARGH.

Uhhhhhmazing!!

So basically this year is AMAZING and i'm convinced nothing bad can happen from here on in.

Things that are making me happy RIGHT NOW -

1. 15 days in the SUNSHINE and my sister getting married in Turkey in 12 weeks time!
2. NYC in Sept with Dawne - Hell yeeeeeeah!
3. Jay - his general brilliance.
4. IOW Festival and the family goodness it brings. Plus Becstar is coming in for the festivities!
5. V FESTIVAL - Possibly the best line up since forever. Mainly KINGS OF LEON. There is quite a high percentage that I will keel over before they even begin the first song but it will TOTALLY be worth it. Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I'm hyperventilating a little just thinking about it. Caaaaalm.
6. Mumford currently playing on Itunes.

My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me, So won't you kill me, so I die happy? My heart is yours, to fill or burst, To break or bury, or wear as jewelry. Whichever you prefer.

There is totally more stuff but I feel amazing, totally and utterly amazing. Nothing can burst my bubble, muhahaha!

Mingle-tastic

So the weekend was pretty damn rad.

Friday was date night, (officially), Jay and I went to Zizzi for a meal which was amazing. Good food! Bumped into both old housemates - Davis looking like Dennis the Menace, teehee! We then went on to Bar 38 where we met Leas and Sumo before greeting Becstar for her birthday drinks. Was lovely to see James & Marcus and Charis & Dan, really miss those guys! We had one drink and decided to bugger off to Albert road, so we walked there from the wharf which was far longer than we anticipated but I enjoyed the walk nonetheless! Both got blisters but it was totally worth it, haha.

Had a drink in Fat Fox, Johnny Russells, and then one eyed dog where we met kirsty who was trollied! Going on about buying something called 'Wild Turkey'... I have no idea. Love her! Haha. A night out is deffo on the cards for us! We finished up with a walk to old Portsmouth and shared a kiss or two on the round tower, yes yes, how romantic, this is so not me! Totally weird, but totally good! Got in about 1:15am to discover my parents were still awake! Asked every question under the sun which I obliged to answer, then my Mum proceeded to ask the exact same questions the morning after as she was so drunk the night before - didn't remember anything i'd said. Silly woman.

Saturday I went to footy, what a fucking waste of my life. The only good thing was that I got to see Jay for a small moment, the score however leaves a lot to be desired. Bad times. Knowing our luck we'll probably win the FA Cup and go down, how ironic. After footy, Jay walked me to my car, I briefly bumped into Adam Gilbert and I drove Jay nearer to his car which was basically just an excuse to spend a little bit of extra time with him! Ha. After this I drove to the hole that is Gosport to see Dawne - we ate Chinese and watch manya Gossip Girl episodes which was most fun. I was so knackered I fell asleep at 11:30 :/ whoops! We woke around 10am and watch more gossip girl before I went home at 3. Tidied like an absolute mad woman before Jay came over. We watched Happy Gilmore (always a winner) and then the BAFTAS. I think I have to watch the Hurt Locker considering it won just about EVERYTHING.

Going to the movies this week to watch The Lovely Bones - really enjoyed the book so will be good to see the movie. It was either this, Wolfman or see Avatar again. I really wouldn't have minded either way but I do really want to check out The Lovely Bones. There is a bonus of having a new guy with Cinema contacts so we can go for free - woohoo! Cheeky!

Adios.

Things i've heard from 13:45pm onwards

"Industrial, you do Industrial?"

"When I was little my sister put me in a hoover box."

"I think he's alright."

"You still got nowt to do?"

"Ssssssnnnnnnn."

"I think we've become quite a nice little team since we moved up here, what did you ever do without us?"

"Come to St Andrews road for some extreme mental disfigurement, drum & bass and some other mental music." (Er...no thanks)

"I like Drum & Bass though"

"If I was fat you wouldn't have said that!" (In response to me saying 'Yeah, you should really stop eating!')

Ash Weds, mash up!

So i've basically just itched the inside of my ear and having just cut a chilli I can successfully tell you, - IT FUCKING BURNS! Have had my ear in a sink of cold water, looking like a total moron. The burning seems to have calmed down though, phewph. Looking forward to eating the chilli for a reward for putting up with the burning. this makes little sense as I am going to Chimichanga's tomorrow so mexican two nights in a row...hmm!

Been looking at the menu for C's and I think i'm gonna go for the mexican paella. I really wanted to go for this last time but for some reason I thought I better go for fajitas and it was all a bit too busy, I want food on a plate, I don't want to have to go to a restaurant and make it myself - duh. This is why I never really got the point of CharBar. No wonder it went bust.

I'm overly tired for no reason, I guess my mind has been working over time the past week but it's a totally good feeling! Sunday was pretty awesome, Monday was better, wonder how friday will go, excited to find out :) Everything seems a liiiiittle bit too good to be true right now, trying not to get so excited but man it's hard!

Saturday i'm pretty excited GG marathon has been a long time coming! Plus we get to plan NYC - V V VVVVVV excited! And i'm allowed to be as excited as I want about this :P Whoop!

Forgot to have pancakes yesterday so will probably have them tonight. Remember last year when Mum blitz'd the mixture without the lid on it went EVERYWHERE. I laughed out loud, a lot, she was covered. Let's hope we get a similar situation this year, just for laughs! Evil? Me? No!

Have been thinking about what to give up for lent, 40 days to give something up. There is lots of things I could give up easily but I sort of wanted to set myself a challenge. I seriously can not think of anything good though, everybody seems to go for chocolate or sex, haha! Hmm... could give up choc but I don't eat much choc anyway so what's the point! Maybe i'll give lent a miss....

Funny Valentine

Today is Valentines Day and despite not actually having a boyfriend it's been actually awesome. No cards, no flowers, no love hearts etc but I care very little about this because I have met the most wonderful person :)

Sooo yesterday I filmed a TV show with Noel Edmonds, hahah how random is that?! That's all I will say on the matter. Sara and I had a wicked day in London drank cocktails and went to the London Dungeons! Which may I add was freakin' scary. Do not recommend if easily scared!

Today I met with Jay, we walked Millie and she got us incredibly muddy and even bit him...great start! But we did have fun and he is very lovely :-)

Happy happy happy.

When you least expect...

First February blog, thought I better stick one in since it's such a short month.

Last few days have been pretty surreal - read a few blogs back when i'm moaning 24/7 about how there's no good people out there then all of a sudden what seems like the perfect person has some how come from no where..... weird?! Anyway, let's see how that goes - it's exciting!

Got too many things to look forward to over the next few weeks - my social calendar is bursting practically. Check me out, haha! Tonight i'm going to Sara's to drink wine, do a face pack and eat Pizza Hut. I don't think i've ever had wine and thought it tasted good...so let's see how that pans out. I'm hoping whatever face thing Sara has picked up doesn't bring me out in some kind of rash definitely don't want another Ayia Napa saga - hand rash was NOT cool and neither was the 90 Euro hospital bill. Tomorrow I have to get up ridiculously early like 6am this should be made a punishable offence on weekends. Getting on the coach at The Hard at 8:00am so got be bright and breezing for this time. Hopefully gonna dash to Madam Tussaud's then do a quick investigation to see if we can find a pub with the footy on. Can you imagine if we do the dirty on scummers in their own backyard given the state we're in? I can only dream. Have faith people, we can do it! Actually gonna go mental in the middle of shepherds bush should we score a goal and it be a WINNING goal - it's the cup final all over again. Sunday I will mostly be sleeping. I am going to be soooooooo knackered.

Next weekend i'm going to the STUPID 5:30 KO playing Stoke, flash a quick smile, then legging to Gosport for Chinese and GG with Dawne. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to put us on at 5:30 playing stoke, is that even going to be a good match? Probably not. I reckon Sky/BBC just enjoy seeing us struggle - bastards. Sunday I think we're going for lunch more plans for NYC and then more GG. Naturally!

March bring Editors and Slough - another LDN trip and a night out at the Roadhouse with the fam. I'm looking forward to the w/e away with the best family around. :-) Gotta schedule a chilli night with work pals at some point too, too much to do!

Saw Becca last night, she is a beaut and it's her birthday next week! Must think of something awesome to get her. I have just the thing and she's always wanted one...was going to get her one for Christmas but never had time. Don't think she reads this but just to be safe! All to be revealed later :)

Brrrrr, too cold. I dislike cold months bring on July for my birthday and SUNSHINE!

We're looking after Millie all this week from tomorrow - I'm super excited! She is the best dog. Lots of cuddles and walks to be had (if it's not TOO cold!) Bro & Sister-in-law are going skiing so we need to step in and do the dog duties!

Awake my soul

Wowza's so the shit hit the fan yesterday - finding out who my real friends are is interesting! I have got some beautiful friends and i'm very grateful for them.

Really looking forward to this weekend and tomorrow especially. Louise is coming down from Wales and we're all going out for drinks and a bit of a boogie! Hoorah! Saturday we're having a family night in with a big fat steak and some poker. Not a clue how to play poker but that could be good, Abby said she will teach the ones that don't know how to play!

Sunday I definitely have to visit the grandparents it has been too long the snow got in the way and then my petrol was dangerously low...poor excuse! Sorry Mo & Pete!

Big Brother is actually making me laugh - who knew? "Nicola don't even walk like that" - Hahaha. "I'm a nice goat." What is going on with this programme?! "Housemates may now remove their heads" - Err...not the wisest move!

8 days til drinking/baking/laughing/having fun in Somerset! Wooo!

"How fickle my heart and how woozy my eyes, I struggle to find any truth in your lies."

Mac the knife

I'm starting to really resent some of the people I have as 'friends' on facebook. Most consist of people i've actually spoken to in the last 6 months but a few are very old school friends or to be exact they probably fit more into the category of peopleiwenttoschoolwithwhoineveractuallyspoketo. Do I really want to hear that you've had 2 children by the age of 22 and one of them is now preventing itself from pissing in its knickers? A fair milestone in a small child's life but do you seriously have to broadcast it on every status update on facebook? No, no I don't think you do. I think, I can't be sure, but I think there will be some culling this afternoon.

Friday night I went to Dawn-e's for some immense Chinese. Never thought I would be okay with getting Chinese from somewhere other than the Mai King but it was actually pretty good AND it was from Gosport - this is a massive bonus considering you're more likely to find an assassin in Gosport than a good Chinese. We watched 2 full discs of Gossip Girl before I fell into a coma, I didn't wake up until 10:50am but neither did Dawn-e so it wasn't like she'd been sat awake. I said "Have you been awake long?" She said "No, if I would have punched you in the head by now if I had." Charming.

Saturday was probably the most boring day (don't think i've ever said that!) . It was made slightly less boring by the fact Pompey actually won a game..! Can you believe it? No, neither can I. Even more unbelievable is the fact John 'lazyarse' Utaka managed to score both our goals. Ridiculous, but highly welcome. The only down side is that we now play the scum of all scum in their own back yard which would end in devastation OR it could be the greatest day since I was born. (Which by the way is the official greatest day so far.) I stayed in, had a pretty awesome salad, watched season 2 of Gavin & Stacey including the commentary....and read some of my book. Now I don't know the official term, but i'm pretty sure it's something along the lines of 'cool'. - Or naaaaat.

The blinds have now been installed in my old room so this means it won't be long until i'm turfed out of the lush, cosy, warm double bed goodness of the 'spare' room which i've grown to love over the last few months into child-like single-bed, loneliness of the attic room. I would actually not be surprised if my Mother was at home right now transferring all my stuff upstairs as I type. This remains to be seen when I get home later.

MACCABEES & RUMBLE STRIPS TOMORROW. That is all.

Winter winds

"My head told my heart,
Let love grow,
But my heart told my head,
This time no, this time no."

Those are some beautiful lyrics right there. Just bought Mumford & Sons 'Sigh no More' and the latest Maccabees album. Am making a good effort to listen to 'Wall of Arms' everyday until Tuesday to get me even more so excited for the gig - although not sure if that is possible.

Friday tomorrow which actually can't come sooner (and not just because that is physically impossible!) No work for a couple of days, weekends are my saviour! Gossip Girl marathon to look forward to tomorrow night and possibly watch The Hangover since Dawn-e hasn't seen it which is an actual crime.

It's 21:31 is that too early to go to sleep? I generally feel very tired at this time every night and stupidly don't go to sleep then end up getting a second wind and staying awake til past midnight and subsequently don't get out of bed until 8am. I seriously need the will to hop out of bed tomorrow at 7:15 AT LEAST.

My middle finger is really hurting, I think it looks kinda bent but i'm not sure if it's always been like that, this is probably likely to be honest but does not explain the pain. Surely too young to be demonstrating Arthritis? That would be really shit if I had that. Bugger.

"'Cause you told me that I would find a hole, within the fragile substance of my soul, and I have filled this void with things unreal, and all the while my character it steals."

Back of the net!

Last week I felt pretty low, like low low low like Flo Rida low. BOY, how a Monday & Tuesday can change things. This is shaping up to be the best week ever and it's not even Wednesday! Get in!

So yesterday I find out i'm gonna be doing more stuff for TV in the next coming weeks, how freakin' fun! Can't say too much about that again, but it sounds exciting and this means many trips to LDN this month at least 3! So a few weeks back I won a book from AQA on twitter (@the63336) which was a fluke, I gave a wrong answer to a question but they thought it was creative so gave me a free book instead of a t-shirt although let's be honest who wants an AQA t-shirt? The book was probably the best end of the deal. Today they asked the question "Name 3 detectives that lived on Baker Street and win a free book" I mentioned them and said, hang on a minute i've already won a book what else can I win! To which they replied saying they had more than one book. So I got on Wikipedia, found the answer and sent it (I assume this isn't cheating?!) next thing I know i've won another book, I mean it's only a book but at least it's something! So this was my first winning of the day, next thing I know i've won 6 free questions to AQA for Re-tweeting one of their status' the other day. Considering it's a quid for every question this is pretty good and will come in handy no doubt! Second winning of the day...AQA must get tired giving me free stuff but i'm not complaining! Early in the morning i'd seen The Maccabees post on twitter about giving away 20 pairs of free tickets to a 'very special' show in London and to look on their facebook page for more deets. So I went to have a ganda and all you needed to do to enter was post your name and address by email, by 2pm in the afternoon i'd got an email back congratulating me for winning 2 tickets to a pretty exclusive show in Covent Garden next Tuesday - errrr AWESOME! So so stoked about this, was so bummed that I didn't get tickets for the NME tour (Would have loved to have seen The Big Pink and Bombay Bicycle Club but alas Maccabees are the only ones after my heart.) Haven't decided who i'm taking yet but it is going to be rad!

I was thinking i've been winning/having great luck over the past few days should I buy a lotto ticket?! Or perhaps a scratch card. I just FEEL lucky, it's a great feeling hope it lasts a little longer as got some pretty wicked things coming up. London trip with Sara to the Ice Bar & all the touristy shizzle London Dungeons, Madam Tussauds etc. Haven't done these things is AGES i'm pretty excited especially for Scarlot Miss Charlotte's in Revolutions. Going to see Avatar 3D tomorrow, Dawn-e's on friday - i'm almost overloaded with goodness and Bridgwater in a couple of weeks too! Hoooray!

James cooked me dinner tonight, old fashioned sausage pasta was re-invented with meatballs! It was lush, and it was lovely to have a little catch up and spend a little time at my old home. I do not miss the freezing coldness of that house but it is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. Aww, damn you no money!

Scotty is mad because I dislike ginners and he is apparently in love with 1 or 3. YOUR FACE Scotty.

Back to work tomorrow, yeeehar. Naaaat.

Sigh no more

Let's hope this week is a fucking thousand times better than last week.

Things to look forward to this week -

-Receiving Breaking Dawn in the post for readage.
-Receiving Maccabees 'Wall of Arms' in the post for listening whilst driving round.
-Receiving Mumford & Sons 'Sigh no more' in the post for the same purpose as above.
-Eating sausage pasta at James' on Tuesday.
-Seeing Avatar 3D with Dawn-e on Wednesday.
Doing sod all the rest of the week. A possible outing at the weekend depending on if i'm starting to remove myself from the rut that i'm currently in.

Have not felt this rubbish is a really long time. Anyone want a return train ticket to Bridgend? No? I didn't either. What a twat.

Forever Young

Embo is back.

Oh gad, I didn't think it was possible to hate snow in all it's white glorious goodness but alas I find myself disliking it immensely since 1. It made me slip over and 2. Made the battery flat on my car. Poorly little 205 doesn't deserve such nastiness.

I have some exciting things planned now which it going to be raaaad. I booked train tickets to Bridgwater a few days back to go see Paul - we're gonna bake, drink some drinks, and generally have a good time. I haven't seen him in soooo long. Plus the train only cost me £21 what.a.bargain. I booked the time off work yesterday along with the 2 weeks hols for Ab's wedding (Turkey here we come!) I haven't had a 2 week holiday in forever so i'm pretty stoked about this. I also booked IOW festival off and Crowded house and Mr Hudson got confirmed today - really pleased about this!

Went to the movies last night to see 'It's complicated'. It had it's moments, was pretty funny but over all not amazing. Alec Baldwin was funny but having started watching CBB over the past week I just keep thinking of his brother Stephen and how much of an actual douchebag he is and to be honest it's not giving me the best vibe on any of the Baldwin's. Meryl Streep is pretty much a legend but I didn't realise Steve Martin was in it, I find him a little bit tacky. He's in the Pink Panther, this says it all. I didn't realise how old he appears now, he looked a bit plastic, never good. There was a moment in the film where Streep was laying on the bed alone where her ex-husband was off with his new wife I thought 'SHIT, that is going to be me.' But then I realised I was 22 and it was a pretty ridiculous thought.

House Partay at Vic's on Saturday, like the good old days! I'm looking forward to it. Whilst it will be immense fun I think it will probably be a lot more sensible than when we were 14/15 years old. Long gone are the days of Longmore throwing chunks in Vicki's back garden begging to be let in, James throwing up into a pint glass in the corner, Crystal pulling out her eye lashes and Vicki and I breaking her bed and rolling down it like a ski slope. The amount of house party's people had when we were in school and something happened that is never forgotten, hahaha. Vicki's were pretty legendary for the things mentioned above, Emma's was gate crashed by a load of chav's who offered to buy 'a bottle of vodka if we let them in' - of course we didn't let them in and they ended up trashing her mum's car, falling through her garage roof and running off. I of course was grounded and sent for golf lessons during half term with a bunch of 8 year olds for 'punishment'. What the hell was that all about, I discovered I was actually quite good at putting! Pretty rubbish at everything else though. One of the greatest house party's was held at Pete Farndell's house - he got so drunk he passed out, so disorientated that he pissed on his bedroom floor thinking it was the bathroom, people put toothpaste in his ear, shaved some of his leg hair off, drew all over his face with lipstick and put a lampshade on his head. Ryan, Sam and I had fallen asleep in his bedroom where all he slept on was a matress and we woke up to him pissing on the floor right in front of us, totally not an experience I want to have again but funny nevertheless.

Crowded house and Mr Hudson got confirmed for IOW Festival today, yussssss!

Snow going out

Happy New Year and all that shizzle.

Had possibly the worst start to a year I could have wished for. Went into work on 3rd Jan (Sunday) SUNDAY, who bloody well works on a Sunday? Then literally out of no where I developed a horrific sinus infection which made me feel like my head was going to explode. I had to take Monday off work as was feeling so bad and then Tuesday was a whole other story, high temperature, coughing up blood etc. Everytime I called Adecco i'm pretty sure the same woman answered and asked me the same questions including "What is preventing you from coming into work?" and "When are you expected to be back?" Erm, well i've told you the same thing everytime i've phoned and i'll be backed when i'm feeling better?! Absolute douche.

So basically i'd been ill Monday and then Tuesday night it decided to snow like it's never snowed before ever. It's was SO thick, so thick in fact that on Saturday night my week got worse when I slipped over on 2-inch-thick ice and cracked straight down on my coccyx. My god, pain like i've actually never known it. Now i'm working at home because I can't actually get out of my road, if I attempted it there is major chance I may slide into another car/lamp post/curb. Having said that i'm going to attempt it tomorrow so i'll update the progress at some point.

NYE was pretty cool, I can't believe it happened, I mean not NYE, but...yeah. To be honest i'm not entirely happy about it. Ughhhhhh, please let this year be a good one.

I can't believe there is still snow outside. It's white but it's more like ice which is sooooo much worse. I keep having minor nightmares about the falling over incident on Saturday ow. :( another disadvantage of this weather is being house bound, cannot actually go anywhere and I feel like i'm in house arrest, not only because it's a struggle to actually move but because I have no transport! I started the 205 yesterday just to see if it was okay and bless the little one, it got going if a little chuggy.

Roll on sunny times.
