Wicked weekend

Friday night I spent trying to do two things at once. It sort of worked out but it sort of didn't too, hah. I went to Kate's at 7.30 and got a bit addicted to the Roddick/ Gasquet tennis match and was glued to the TV until it was almost certain he was going to lose so we left. Met Becca and Charis near plumbase and we proceeded to the southern electric club to meet Vicki. I used to go there as a child all the time with my parents so was strange to be back there again. £1.60 for double vodka's. Bargain central! We reminisced back to the days when we dressed up as the spice girls. some how i'm always Mel B. Mainly cos the others are pale and I get a 'slight' tan on holiday. I don't mind so much, at least i've got Eddie Murphy's baby. Cool. I was badgered into going to the work party and at £5 a ticket for 4 free drinks and BBQ food, I couldn't really say no. I left southern electric at about 9.30pm and my taxi driver showed me pictures of his children on the way on his phone which, was a tad alarming considering he was driving at the same time and I wasn't really that interested. The party was better than I ever expected it to be, I planned to go, get my drinks, my food, and go back to meet the girls. I got there and Steph, G-Unit, Vers, Caroline, Myke and Emeline were all there already having a good time. There was a bouncey castle and one of them sticky walls where you put the suit on and launch yourself at it. Unfortunately we did not get to sample that but we did have some fun on the bouncey castle and some giant boxing gloves. We had a boogie, Myke bought everyone shots of aftershock and Steph and I got a taxi home at about 12.45. Didn't get to meet the girls again but I was rather trollied and I had to be up early the next day for London. I was having a merry taxi ride home when Steph blurts out "I hope you get murdered" the sentiment was so lovely. Hahaha. Had a wicked time with everyone though and Steph was kind enough to make sure I got home okay after wishing death upon me. I ended up getting details from our taxi driver cos he wants a job at the Listening co. Bonus!

Saturday I went to Dave's cos we were going to Parmstock which is a music event held at Parmiter's school in Garston but before that I went into London to meet Guy. We went to the Natural History Museum which was mostly a pile of rocks but we had a good time. Ate some tasty chicken melt panini and then I went on my way to St albans. Tried calling Dave whose phone had run out of battery without him realising and I thought it was going to be a terrible day of me stuck outside his house locked out. Luckily he timed it just right and met me as I was walking out of the station. Good timing. I was a bit hungover and very tired so we went back to his house and watched a bit of tennis and live earth. We got the bus into town to get another bus to Garston, we missed our stop which gave ourselves a little walk to the actual school, silly buggers. Lots of friends I hadn't seen in a while were there and it was very nice to see them. Adam, Alex, Joe, Zoe, Peter, Lauren, Mike, Jim, Dan, Hannah, Charlotte, Emily + more. We watched Wartgore Hellsnicker which was an experience. I actually thought they were very fun. Emily certainly stole the show though, she's amazzinggg. The B team reunited for one last time without Barney since he was in vietnam and that was fantabulous, we all waiting for Kid Cosmic as they were headlining but unfortunately Jim had consumed too many beers before going on stage so his voice was completely gone. Couldn't manage the high notes or anything but the playing was fun! Zoe gave us a lift back and we all went to the Beehive for a drink. Didn't get to say bye to Lauren, Emily, Hannah, Charlotte, Mike, Dan or Jim but i'm sure i'll see them all soon. Zoe spend the journey home with Adam encouraging her to do wheel spins, she managed it in the end and it was amazing haha. Got home and watched about 20 minutes of '40 year old Virgin' before Dave fell asleep so we called it a night and I slept right through until 9.30am.

Sunday we went to Curry's with Moira to see about buying some sort of stereo for her school. They had such a shit feeble selection that we went along to Argos extra and got some other stereo from their mildly bigger selection. Popped in Matalan and then we went home to catch the start of the Grand Prix. I've never ever i my life been interested inthe Grand Prix but i've taken a slight shine to Lewis Hamilton since there has been all this hype and I wanted him to win. He was in the leade until he did a pitstop and pulled away too eagerly and stalled. Silly twat. Moira and Geoff went to some councellor dealy at the crematorium and we turned over for the Men's Final at Wimbledon. I really wanted Nadal to win but after Federer won and gave a speech he seemed like such a nice man I couldn't hold it against him. I got home at 9pm and Dad, Mum and I all sat by the TV with our computers like a bunch of geeks.

Now I am back at work and I started at 7.30am. Not good. Going to Asda tonight (that is all I can afford) to buy some form of smart trousers to wear to my interview on thursday. Fingers crossed I get the job. PLEASE!
