Disneysuperland

How much do I want to live at Disneyland Paris? Very much is the answer.

We arrived on the 2nd of July and got the train from the airport to meet Claire at her rather nice hostel. Having gotten up at 3am to start our journey we were knackered but still managed to get the metro to the Eiffel Tower, then walked to Arc de Triumph and to the Le Louvre. We got a tasty baguette from 'Paul's' and ate it outside Le Louvre. Well all promptly fell asleep on the grass which was in a way, heaven. Claire's friend ReneƩ came with us but she has disappeared when we woke up. We caught the train to Noisel which was where 'Hotel Du Luzzard' was and to be honest it looked like a dump from the outside. Our room was actually fairly decent. It had a small telly with some lovely french channels, free tea and coffee (shame we don't like either), a nice but hard bed and a BATH. It was a small bath, but it was a bath. We took a trip into the local 'town' to see what was there and if we could get some food. My god what a ghetto. Kids throwng exceptionally large bangers on the ground making a very loud sound, horrible blocks of flats and a bunch of sketchy looking kebab shops. We decided to go to the only supermarket that ever existed and we bought some sandwiches, some salsa and some sweets. A very hearty dinner, or not. Either way it was nice and we fell asleep to french television.

3rd of july was my birthday and I turned 20 years old. We set off at 9am to Disneyland which was 10 minutes on the train to Noisel and it was literally right there when you stepped off the train, fab! Paid our 103 Euros for a 2 day park hopper. The first thing we went on was 'It's a small world' which is mainly for toddlers and it was a bit shit but still fabulous. I think next was Pirates of the Caribbean, which is well not for 2 year olds, it has a little drop in it which is scary :O
I don't remember the exact order of rides but we went in Indiana Jones ride which definitely used to be a backwards ride but is now forwards. It does a loop the loop and it well wicked anyway. It pissed down with rain when we were on Indiana Jones and I went to a shop and bought a disney rain mac which helped! We then went to eat in Buzz Lightyears Pizza Planet! This sounds cooler then it was. Dave had a 'pizza burger' and I had just a pizza, it was yum but very expensive! We spent the rest of the day moseying around the park found the queue for Thunder Mountain was giant so missed that one out on that day. We went on 'Star Tours' which was crazy. Dave aprticularly enjoyed this one, I think more of a boys ride! It was good but it was kind of an opportunity for me to sit down and rest my feet. Haha. Went on space mountain. I shed a tear the first time we went on this as I have only just conquered my fear of rides and was not really prepared for the ride. Here's me thinking it would climb the shoot merrily at a slow pace when it shoots us up about a million miles an hour unexpectedly. There are no words.
We crossed over to the Walt Disney Studios and went on the rockin' rollercoaster- just as good as I remember. Although scary watching the other people go on before you! We went on Crush's Coaster which you would think would be a small ride for children given it's from Finding Nemo but it was without doubt the best ride there and the scariest. You go down a big drop sideways not knowing where the bloody track is and just when you think it's going to end it goes on a bit more. It was the newest ride there so the queues were mental being 120 minutes at point. We waited until it was 45 minutes as I don't think it would have gotten any lower and the time went by pretty quickly. We went on numerous rides more times than once and generally had a wicked day. We watched the parade and I took many a photos of Mickey + Minnie, Pooh Bear, Little Mermaid, TOY STORY!, Ursula, sleeping beauty, Alice in wonderland, Donald duck and loads more! We rounded the day off with a meal at 'Annette's Diner' and it was the actual best place on earth to eat. I had a 'chilli chilli dog' which sounds rather disgusting but was actually heaven. There was people on rollerskates taking orders! Then they started singing and dancing when we were eating, haha it was wicked!
We went back to our hotel at about 8pm and bathed and got clean from being damp from the rain and then watched some more french tv and I fell asleep whilst Dave watched some programme on MTV which has a french narrator but you could make out the english just about. My birthday was a marvellous one, disneyland is definitely a good way to spend a birthday raining or not.

We got up a bit later on the 4th because we were a tad early the day before. Turns out we were a tad late this day! Crush's coaster which we vowed to go on first, already had 120 minute queue, so we rockin' rollercoastered it up again. They're building a 'Tower of Terror' there and the construction is coming along nicely, shame it wasn't built when we got there. Not that I would have gone on it anyway, haha. We went on the Armageddon, well I say went on, it's not really a ride. Just a weird simulater thingy. It has real fire though! It was crazy, I thought it was going to be boring then all this steam and rocking came from no where and then there was the fire which made it a bit exciting. We had pictures with Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. He was a jolly nice statue of a fella. We went on space mountain a bunch of other times and queued for this rocket ride and the sky was lovely and blue. By the time we got to the front of the queue it started to absolutely pour with rain our shoes and trousers were wet through so we bailed on the rockets and hopped on over to space mountain again. We were going to eat in a yummy mexican place but then we got there and they said they didn't have any food. No food? What kind of restaurant has no food!? We had to go to Casey's Corner for a hot dog which wasn't bad. It had some rank looking cheese sauce on it which was actually quite yumtastic. We then got some gooooood ben and jerry's ice cream. We went to the studios and went on Aero Smith ride some more, and we waited and waited for the queue for Crush to go down and eventually it got to 90 minutes so we joined the queue anyway. It took a mere 40 minutes to get through the queue and when we came out the other side the queue had gone down a bit more so we queued again, haha. It was totally worth it. We left at 6 and stopped of at Annettes Diner and I got an oreo milkshake and Dave got a peanut butter one. Yummeh! We made it to the airport with time to spare but the mean lady at baggage control took away my shampoo without telling me or asking to search my bag. Bloody rude. Very very very tired when we got home so went straight to sleep.

Went to visit Annabelle and Robyn on thursday, Rob's is getting massive! She's the cutest baby ever in the world though and we looked after her for about an hour whilst Annabelle went for a sun bed. She does lovely smiles now and we had a fair few on thursday :)

I've been watching the last bits of the Tennis and I didn't like Djokovic when he beat Hewitt cos I rather like Hewitt but he just bear Baghdatis and he looks mean so I cheered for Djokovic (silently in my head...) and he actually won! Although gave me a fright when he won 2 sets then lost 2 sets and left it until the 5th set to actually win. Naughty Djokovic. He's a bit good though. Venus Williams is currently playing, she won the first set and i'm sure she'll eventually in this match but the second set is tight at the moment.

Back to London tomorrow, meeting guy to go to some gallery I think, not sure though. Then to Parmstock to see KC do their thing. Good times.
