Green is superior.

Things that are Green; well let's see there's me, the rest of my family and this 'ere new look blog. I was bored of the old layout so decided to pick a newbie. It's got birds and everything. I like them, in my mind I picture them flying about on the page and tweeting like little birdies should do. We should all strive to be greener, I couldn't be greener if I tried :)

This weekend was one I would quite frankly rather forget, let's just pick out the best parts -

Pompey drew 2-2 with Leeds which wasn't the worst result, even if we were winning twice. The Fratton park flood lights were not serving their purpose and went off twice during play. Annoying to say the least and afterwards I read somebody had posted on twitter "Do they film 'Take me out' at Fratton park? They had lights going off everywhere." Made me chuckle! No Lighty, No Footy.

I went out for a curry at the Indian Palace with Jay, Willington and Pete at 6:30. Then we went to see 127 Hours at the cinema. The Curry was okay but the service wasn't great took over 45 minutes for food to come and then the fire alarm went off twice literally piercing my ear drums. The only course of action to combat the fire was to open a side door which let in minus temp air - lovely! I hate to be the one to complain but then I found none other than a BRUSSEL SPROUT in my curry. Really?! First time i've ever encountered one in there, must have been a sale on Christmas veg! Safe to say I will not be going there again in a hurry. Nice bhaji's though.

We headed to Odeon to see 127 Hours, a film that I was pretty excited to see. The hacking arm off with a blunt knife scene wasn't even as bad as some people were making out. I was getting ready to stare elsewhere or to hide my face entirely but coupled together with the rest of the story it was compelling to say the least. Pretty gross when he pulled the tendon out but hey he clearly valued his life enough to actual hack off his arm. In all honestly I don't think I could have done it, but then again he probably thought that too. The worst bit for me was witnessing him drink his own pee. Something nobody wants to see. Bleurgh. I really liked that the actual Aron Ralston was in the film at the end. Such a remarkable story.

I was so tired all weekend and right now i'm sort of on the verge of falling asleep too ha! Will be eating such delights as jerk chicken at Jay's tonight. Looking forward to it, we haven't had marinated chicken mondays in ages! Hoorah!

Can't wait for Friday, it's pay day, it's the weekend and Dawne and I are going out for drinks with some of her work buddies. Plus! Saturday should be the booking of our holiday to the US of A! Woohoo! Can't wait to go back and i'm already thinking of NYC for next year. By then there will be two teeny babies in the fam, so excited to meet them! Especially after meeting baby Esmé yesterday. Nat looked really well and Esmé is the cutest!

Definitely the longest i've held a baby without him/her crying!

Yesterday I went to lunch at Nando's with Tins and Bec, a nice catch up and then we popped to Nat's to visit her and the beautiful bubba :) Spent the evening at Jay's and then crashed in bed by 9:30! found it difficult to get to sleep though, finally managed it around midnight. *yawn*

Now the Monday Blues (Official term!) have been lurking all day, thinking of going to see Millie Dog after work, perhaps take her for a walk if I can get out of here at 4:30.

Back to the drawing board peeps!
