The big 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR and all that gubbins.

My New Year was shoddy, really very shoddy. NYE I woke up feeling a little nauseous, it carried on throughout the day and I wretched so many times in the end I actually wanted something to come up alas having eaten nothing, nothing did. Felt rough as nuts all day NYE - managed to make it to Abby's as she was having a party. Stayed for about an hour, ate a slice of melba toast or two but then had to leave cos I really thought I was gonna hurl. Coupled with the dreaded D, I was not feeling great. Went back to Jays, and was asleep by 11. Jay prodded me at midnight to say Happy New Year but I really wasn't with it and don't really remember it happening to be honest, he says it did though so I believe him...just!

Felt rough all Saturday, Pompey got thrashed at Watford and Greg Halford got sent off. Bad day all round. Sunday I thought I was beginning to feel better however, half way round PC World started to feel dodgy again and had to have a 'sit down' like I had dodgy 80 year old hips or something. (I don't, thank God, yet.) I had eaten 1 crumpet all day and now didn't feel like anything again so basically my last properly meal had been Thursday night and it was stew! Whilst it's a good meal and it's not THAT bad i'm not particularly fond of it and for this to be my last memory of food was not making me happy. Sunday night in bed I felt like I was on a different planet, couldn't even talk properly I actually started to think there was something seriously wrong with me other than just a normal sickness bug. Monday progressed and I managed to go to football (Which was a waste of time, Hull, you bastards) and eat 2 slices of toast and half a marmite sandwich. If you're still reading after the depression that is the first two sections of this blog then you'll be pleased to know Jay and I went to Harvester on Tuesday to celebrate the fact I could eat again (hurrah!).

Even though New Year was crap, Christmas was actually really fab. Such a great time with the family and Jayboy. Spent Christmas Day at Abbys, after going to Jays to exchange our gifts. I got some rad presents, too many to mention (lucky me!) the best one of all though was a weekend away in London with the family next weekend! Sooooo excited. We're going to see Tron at the Imax and out for a couple of meals. Should be great! Plus I ordered new boots yesterday...yay! Love new things :)

Also i'd like you all to meet Baby Shawyer -

There's gonna be a baby Shawyer and a baby Bowley - Double Auntie Emily, yippee!

Surrounded by babies in June :)

Yesterday I went to Nandos and the movies with Dawn which couldn't have been more ridiculous if it tried. I queued up in Nando's to get the food, Dawn got the sauce and resumed her position at the table. I came back having ordered and she says "You may realise we only have 1 sauce", automatically I think somebody has taken it away, cos it was busy and there may not have been enough to go round. Then I realise there is a massive cone next to our table saying 'Caution wet floor'. Couldn't believe i'd missed her sitting by herself, knocking a glass bottle on the floor, nandos sauce all over the place. Brilliant. Well, it was brilliant until we got into the cinema and I ripped a 5 pound note in half. Standing by the ice cream waiting for my Ben and Jerrys I decide to pipe up and tell Dawn about how at Christmas, Jay has ripped a card open but ripped it sideways and ripped the £20 note in half. Me, thinking i'm clever and demonstrating with the fiver in my hand ACTUAL rip it in half. I really have no idea what I was thinking but the cashier was literally just standing there looking at me as if I was some retard. Which, in all fairness was correct at that precise moment. Dawn was just in absolute stitches whilst I stood there with two halves of a fiver. I gave it to the cashier in the hope she has cello tape. Luckily she excepted my poor excuse for money. On the plus side, the film was great (Love & Other Drugs) and Nandos was tasty as always.

I'm really looking forward to Saturday. Jay and I are training it to Chichester for a look round the shops, some pub stop offs and a meal at Smith & Western (Which looks amazing! Never been there).

Bring on the weekend :o)
