I went to see Kojaks for the 4347829571925th time last night. I wasn't so excited about it before going but it was actually really good. I decided to drive and not drink - save money on taxis. Kojaks had added some new songs to the bill including Wombats, Muse and Foo Fighters. Real good fun.
I was probably the only sober one along with my Mum, sort of. She was tipsy. I spent my time dancing to the music but also sort of looking around at everyone. There was an awful couple in front of me that clearly needed to get a room before they ate each others faces. Not only were they blocking my view they were just pretty gross. What the heck, i'm probably just jealous. There was another couple, he was really tall and skinny and she was kind of short and fat. They looked pretty odd, but I guess odd is good. You could tell it was one of their first dates, they stood in a hugging position all night and you could tell they really liked each other and perhaps they were both thinking about kissing each other but no one making the first move. When they eventually did it was kind of like he was trying to break the world record for fasted french kiss or something, his hand kind of awkwardly placed on her face. It was all a bit horrendous, but I bet they're happy.
We left the wedgewood rooms at around 00:30, Dad still trying to claim his youth wanted to stay so there was a small disagreement, I couldn't be doing with a big disagreement so I made Mum leave. We were going to go for a shirins, then Dad decides he wants to come so we pick him up outside the venue. He was so drunk, just sort of staring and saying 'I'm not drunk' then squirting an empty plate with salad cream and wiping it up with his little finger. How bloody embarrassing. Dad drunk is hilarious when he doesn't get out of order, bahaha. Got home at around 2am, spent some time talking to Adam, not really sure what's happening there :-/
Going to Vicki's tonight for Xfactor watching and drinks, yay!
Our holiday is officially booked! £220, from bournemouth to Dalaman on Tuesday 26th August. I am so very excited to get some SUN and eat in some pretty amazing restaurants. I really hope I can get on with Mum for a week because I really hate feeling down when i'm away from home. Fingers crossed!
I've been watching the Olympics and I think swimming is my favourite event. Michael Phelps is amazing, I know he's not British or anything but he is quite clearly a machine. Rebecca Addlington has been working it for Britain. She is amazing! She's younger than me, and look how much she has achieved. Makes me feel like an incredible failure, good lord. Not that i'm expected to win 2 gold medals at the Olympics, haha. I'm definitely going to try and go to some events at 2012! I'm watching the cycling indoor drome thing, I really don't get how this works. Did I just hear them say '58' laps to go?! There's like a long line of cyclists and the person at the front of the line doesn't necessarily win. This logic is all wrong.
Helloooo some lovely, interesting, funny male come and take me away. K thnx.
