The wonderer returns...

but not for long! Tomorrow I shall be off to sunny St A (Although probably raining) and then Monday is DISNEYLAND! Tuesday is MY BIRTHDAY! All very exciting.

Got back from Turkey yesterday night and what a week it was. Very emotional on Mum's birthday but other than that, such a lovely week. Weather was overly hot reaching over 50 degrees! When we arrived in friday we went to 'bob's' he used to work in the kings head but bnow has his own restaurant so thought we'd go down for a meal. everyone followed us and he had to serve about 33 people! The poor bloke had never had so many customers and found it hard to cope. Sam was very drunk and missed the chair when he sat down, tried to chat up a girl who had a boyfriend and then was sick in the restaurant. Me, Damo, Cags, Ads and Abs had to take him home.

Saturday we had a lazy day and did hardly anything. Went to Olu Deniz for a meal at Captain Hook's with Abby, Adam, Sam, Damien and Caroline though and had a lovely meal. Abby and I shared Turkish Meze which was massive and then when the main course came I was so full I had about 3 spoonfuls and gave up. We then looked around some shops and there was a black out! It got very very dark, pitch black and we were all very scared for all of about 10 seconds until the generators came on.

Sunday we went quad biking. Me, Abby, Adam, Jan, Dave, Damo, Cags, Mum, Dad, Calum, Karen, Sam, Paul. The experience wasn't as good as we've had before. The didn't have enough bikes to start with so Karen had to go on with Mum. I drove for once! They told me it was automatic so I went the whole way there getting VERY hot. We stopped at the beach couldn't wait for a swim it was so hot. then we had a meal basic chicken chips and salad. We were given about 3 chips each but it was nice! then on the way back I discovered I had gears. The turkish men laughed at me going along and didn't say anything, bloody rude. then eventually a guy sat on the back of my bike and taught me gears. then he kept putting his hand on my waist and quite frankly I wanted him to get off. He was creepy. Damien said he wasn't the sort of person he would like to go out drinking with so I shouldn't make him my boyfriend. That was good enough for me, hahaha. We came home and went to The Shine restaurant and the man in there didn't do enough food for everybody and he told us we were taking too much but we all had a little portion each he just didn't make enough. Karen and calum were left with no food because it had all gone. Me, Janet, Val, Heather and a few others went back to the apartments/villa and Val jumped in the pool with all her clothes. She then moaned her trousers were weighing her down...that is Val for you! Haha. Janet jumped in, very elegantly. She says "I bet you didn't know I was fat and agile" We certainly didn't. I then got in the pool in my swimming stuff (I seemed to be the only one with sense!) and accidently touched her left breast. (It's a balloon I tell you) She then annouces to the whole place "Emily's a dyke! Emily's a dyke! She just touched my left breast! I quite liked it!" she had me in fits the whole week.

Monday we all dressed as pirates and went on the Cherry Tree boat with Sali as our captain. Kev goldstone looked the best. He must have been very hot he had trousers and everything on. Everybody looked great in their pirate outfits and the trip was fantastic. I woke up in the morning and the wind was immense, there was sun beds and chairs and everything in our pool, everything had blown in there! We thought that the boat was going to be a no-go, everybody would have been sea sick but there was no wind in Olu Deniz as it is down the mountain so everything was a success! We went to many coves and swam in the natural water springs (it was freezing!) had a lovely meal cooked by sali and his crew. Arrived back at 7pm and then watched the sun set on the beach. We ate in Help Bar, I had a lovely pizza and then went home for drinks.

Tuesday, another lazy day. Abby, Damo, cags and me went to Mamma Mia's and I had the best pizza ever. Really tasty. Judge no longer works there though and there is a new manager, he was a bit of a sleaze to be honest. He had elvis hair and said he lost his wife when he started singing because he had affairs with girls who threw pants at him. He said it as if we should be impressed. I think not. In the evening we ate at a place in Chalis called Sät. It was a lovely setting really posh place over looking the ocean. It was a shame that the food and service didn't match the scenery. They bought out the wrong food and the service was slow. We were glad to go home. Had a good night with John and Annabel who came with us along with Val, Kev, Janet, Paul and Gill.

Wednesday we went to Olu Deniz to watch the paragliders come in. Kev Smith, Kev Goldstone, Val, Caroline, Damien, Terry, Tracy, John, Gary and Michelle all jumped from the mountain. We later learned it was a bit of a rip off though. They only got taken half way up and they didn't bring enough parachutes so some peopel had to wait on the mountain for over an hour before they bought more up. They paid £45 and caroline said it lasted 10 minutes. When Mum did it it was at least 30 minutes. They still had a fun time though and we had some breakfast in a restaurant on the waterfront. That night was Mum's birthday party. Everybody looked amazing in their toga's. We had a singer who was incredible he was so happy to be there. He sang all the number ones when me, Abby and Damien were born and Dad did a slide show of mum's life and presented her with the keys to her new car! she loved it. Janet pushed me in the pool with my toga on. I wasn't impressed so I secretly got out and went behind her to push her in. REVENGE! Spent the night with Nihat who is Dormus' son and we went to the beach at 4am and watched the sunrise. It was really nice. First time I stayed up all night in a very long time.

Thursday we had lazy day and then had dinner at the Oran where everybody else was staying. A very nice BBQ. It was Kev Goldstone's birthday so they had a belly dancer come in. She made all the men do a dance and then the women it was very funny. She blindfolded Damien and made Sam dance with him and he thought it was her, hahaha. Some good pictures were taken. Some of us (Dad, Gary, Michelle, Kev, Val) all stayed up until 4am singing. Rounded it off with Buck Rogers (What else?) and then I went to bed at 7.30am being very drunk.

It was a wonderful holiday and sad to go home on friday but on wards and upwards! Disneyland!

Holibobs

I haven't written in a little while but that's mainly cos nothing interesting happened after Muse. Tomorrow I am off to Turkey which is interesting. I went to the BBC website to have a look at the weather this week in Fethiye and it says on sunday it will be a maximum of 44 degrees! I'm going to FRY. But it is all well and good, I shall be away from the worries of driving tests and work and all things nasty. Then i'm going to DISNEYLAND! I'm so excited you have absolutely no idea. Mickey Mouse and all Disney stuffs! Fabulous!

I had my hair cut this morning it's all shiney and loveeelyyy. I had the morning off work and came in at 9.30am and I still finish at 4.30! We're all having a curry tonight like we always do before holibobs, then we'll be setting off at 4am. All meeting at the New inn pub to get in a coach. 33 of us! T'will be mad indeed.

Aufweidersen my lovely's! xxxx

Butterflies and Hurricanes

So the weekend was pretty amazing. I went to the new Wembley Stadium to see Muse. Before I went I was thinking that it was a bit of a shame my first time at Wembley wasn't to see a football match but those thoughts went out the window. It was without doubt the most incredible gig i've ever been to. There have been intimate ones like Motion City Soundtrack at Water Rats and all the RXB ones i've been to which have all been amazing but the amount of people all in one place just for 3 people seemed like the best thing ever.

I met Dave at Kings Cross then we got the tube to Covent Garden where we met Guy for Wagamama's! Hadn't seen Guy in about 3 years so was very nice to see him and have a short catch up. We saw a bit of the Red Arrows doing their thing for the Queen, they were pretty ace. then the rain pelted down really hard so we hid under a little shelter. Finally it subsided a bit so we walked hastily to Waga's where I had a chicken ramen - it was lovely!

Dave and I left guy at Green Park where we got the jubilee line to Wembley Park. I love how near the station is to the stadium, it's literally right there when you exit. It was a sight to behold walking down Wembley way (Is that such a thing or did I make that up..?). We tried to get there as early as possible to get in when there was hardly any people to see the ground properly. this is what it looked like with hardly anyone in it -

Rodriguo 'R Gabriella (spelling?) played first and they were fairly interesting but their act got rather boring rather quick. Do denying they were reet good at guitars though. Dirty Pretty Things were 'pretty' rubbish. They had no drive whatsoever. You'd think if you're playing wembley to thousands of people you'd at least make some kind of effort. nobody was moving to their music and the only song anyone knew was that 'Bang Bang' one. Disappointing. The Streets were the best support. They were fun at Reading last year and they were the same at Wembley. Don't really know or like their other songs that aren't released so much but Mike Skinner is kinda funny and I enjoyed their show. I did miss a bit of their set to go and see Lauren who I haven't seen in about a million years (okay one, but who is counting?) we ran at each other like baywatch, then embraced like 2 people have never embraced before. She's lovely and I was very happy to see her.

Muse entered the arena by rising OUT OF THE FLOOR with lots of smoke and glittery bits flying everywhere. It was Uh-ma-ZING. Matt adorning a very lushious red suit and Dom some alarmingly green trousers. Chris was his usual cool self. They opened with Nights of Cydonia much like they did at IOW Festival last weekend and I worried it would be the same set, that would have been a little disappointing. I was obviously wrong though. They proceeded to play Hysteria, Starlight, Invincible, Apocalypse Please, Time is Running Out, Stockholm Sydrome, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Thoughts of a Dying Atheist, Take a Bow, Super Massive Blackhole, New Born, Citizen Erased, Plug in Baby, Micro Cuts, Feeling good, Unintended (They played it! They never play this live, probably the closest i've ever come to crying from someone playing musical toons.), Sunburn. They played more but its impossible to remember. They did a double on-core which not many bands could get away with but it was phenomenal. I can't describe it the way I want to! They had these massive floating balls with acrobatic people on the end whirling around, they were amazing! This is the view after everyone had piled in and they were playing -

Pretty darn good.

Dave and I were pretty hungry after the show so we went to Macdonalds it was a mission to get to through the see of people and horses but it was worth it. We got home at about 1.45am and were so knackered. Sleep was gooooooooood. A very pleasent saturday.

Thumberlina

It is well not fun to feel like this on a friday morning. I blame Maff and Claire. (Although mainly myself..) Far too much vodka and diet coke was consumed by me. Actually it was only like 3 glasses but they were giant fuck off massive glasses. I'm a lightweight anyway, but seriously by 11pm I was passed out on the bed. I went to sleep for about an hour and Claire touched my breast whilst I was sleeping, rapist. I woke up with a hat on my face. I quite liked it because it was comfy but sadly it was mykes, I promptly fell back to sleep in maff's bed and woke up at 2am, the light was off, everyone had gone home and the comfy hat had been replaced by a hard policeman hat. I have no idea what happened and I was suppose to be staying at Claire's! She, the cheeky scoundrel got Vers to cover the first 5 hours of her shift whilst I was at work at 7:50am this morning. I do not feel good. But no half as bad as I did after Chaos that time, hurrah!

John Terry is getting married tomorrow at Blenheim Palace (It actually looks amaZING!) I'm slightly jealous cos he seems like a nice man plus, he's rich. His wife to be has a slight pig nose too. Poor love. Anyway moving on...

Can't wait for saturday Muse will obviously be ACE. Driving went well yesterday, he said I did the best turn in the road he's ever seen, then I took both my hands off the wheels to clap Hahaha. whoops. everybody cross their fingers at 10.44am on tuesday, thank you!

I bloody mosquito has bitten me on my hip, my back and my THUMB. The thumb one really hurts, right where I would do a finger print, owie :(

I'm going to sit here and feel rough for the next 7 hours ish. Laters.

Job job job MUSE

I feel so much better today, this probably means I didn't care that much in the first place. I guess that is a fairly good thing, less hung up about stuff and more getting on with my life. Hurrah! I had a job interview for flagship today on the phone and I think it went fairly well, fingers crossed I get face to face interview! I'm very nervous. More nervous about my driving test I must say. Aaaahhhhhhhhh!

I am going to Maff's tonight with Claire and possible some others. Not sure what we'll be doing but it's sure to be fun, haven't hung out with those guys in a while and claire is going travelling next week so I have to get some quality time in before she leaves and is never to be seen again! I have driving lesson tonight which will hopefully go okay, I need to be good now or i'm going to get even more nervous for my sonofabitch test. Steph passed hers yesterday I need to follow in her footsteps!

I have eaten a whole box of crunchy nut cornflakes in a week. I am ashamed of myself. Although thinking i'd put on a ton of weight, I weighed myself and am still 10st. This may be fat to come people but i'm well happy! Whoop! Keeping the weight off :)

Have a good weekend everybody, i'm off to wembley this weekend to see Muse which I guaruntee to be a fun time. Happy weekend! :)

Last thought of the day

Do I feel like a complete idiot? Yes I think do.

Hiccups

I got the hiccups and it's mildly funny, I like the feeling. Yes i'm weird. They've had the news on all day and the volume isn't on but there was something about that lost Madeline and how some map and stuff has been sent to a dutch newspaper. I hope they find her. My parents used to leave me in the bedroom when they went out for meals on holiday when I was little and would go to sleep. Lucky I wasn't taken! : Eeek.

I had a Mr. Wallop on the phone today, poor love. Yesterday was the best though, I had a Mrs. Firminger on the phone, hahahah. She spelt it out too. I am easily amused. I am going home in 30 minutes! I'm going to pop to the chinese shop at the end of the road to see if they have any sweet chilli sauce. If they don't i'll stop off in North End, or I might even walk there considering it is warm! Scott Mills show on Radio 1 will keep me entertained! We had a massive bottle of sauce but it's so delish that it's all gone now. It's very good for you, and it was only £1.99 for this giantastic bottle. I'm rambling about sauce. Oh dear.

I'm very worried about my driving test. It's taking me over!! I am very happy about the fact I am going to Turkey next friday and that seems very soon but I have realised I am taking a driving test before then. Uh ohh....

CLAIRE IS A FREAK. Story of the day. Thank me later for learning something new.

Sleep much?

So despite Nev making me slightly giggly last night staying up was a massive no no. I could have had an extra 2 hours sleep! Why oh why did I deprive myself? I slept for about 2 hours yesterday from 1.30-3.30pm and then woke up, chatted to Nev, got dressed to go to Balti house, fucked that up by missing the bus so didn't end up going. I was knackered at this point, staying up until 3am wasn't the best of ideas.

(Happy nev?!)

I am working until 5pm today and i'm already yawning my face off. On a completely different subject frenzy has been taken over by an absolute crank. We have all moved over to ROTC (thanks Nev...) so basically he's screwed and driven everyone away. What a waste of £1000+! I'm also banned now too, I didn't even do anything!

Since when did asking for someone's telephone number invite them to enlighten me on their address too? And asking for a name, did that sound in anyway like 'hospital nunmber'? NO. I hate these people. Actual hate.

Sugar pie

The weekend was fabulous! I am positively suntanned and the memories are fresh in my mind from a wicked weekend with amazing live music.

Apart from getting pelted with beer and bottles last night I had a really ace time although even that was fun and I do not regret standing on the bins! Hahaha, losers. Friday my highlights were The Feeling and Snow Patrol. Groove Armada did some tunes though and I had a good boogie. Snow Patrol were more fun than I thought, the front man really appreciated the crowd and they looked like they were really having some fun. Saturday came Ash which were amazing! I knew more tunes than I remembered and singing with Adam was quality. Wolfmother on Jim's reccommendation were fab, nobody else seems to like them though...clearly they know nothing. MUSE were the highlight of my weekend. Absolutely incredible and I can not wait for Wembley. Yesterday Paolo Nutini was amazing, he was obvs well drunk on stage but he held himself together well! James Morrison was very peaceful and lovely as always. Mel C was..interesting. Not my favourite. Keane did ome good tunes, Their singer has well lost weight in rehab! The Rolling Stones were just something else. I wasn't looking forward to them really but Jagger had about 20 costume changes and they all (including the drum kit) came drifting out into the crowd on a platform! It was crazy but really wick. I feel a bit rough today and have to go out tonight for a flippin' curry but it should be good, see some buds and have some nice food. I am now going for a lay down. Yes mate.

Isle of Wasp

I haven't really done anything with my week so far but my weekend starts NOW. Okay, I have to get through 8 hours of work first but it starts pretty much after that. I am going to Claires after work and then going to Kate's to have a few bevvies, then on to New Young Pony Club at the wedge. Should be good times. Although sadly i've still only heard one song by NYPC, mainly because i'm lazy and haven't bothered to research. I'll obvs let y'all know how it goes but probably not until like monday or mayb's even tuesday because I shall be recovering from this weekend which is Isle of Wight festival. I am so looking forward to this! I'm not even particularly bothered that a lot of the bands probably aren't my favourites but music is music and it's pretty rad.

Friday - starts at 5pm and features Koopa, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Feeling, Groove Armada, SNOW PATROL.

Saturday - The Menschen (who ever the hell they are..?), The Thirst, Carbon/Silicon, Arno Carstens, Donovan, Amy Winehouse, Wolfmother, Ash, Kasabian, MUSE. (So this pretty much doesn't get even a little bit interesting until Winehouse and I only really want to see Muse and Ash. I heard Wolfmother are good though so hopefully they will be.)

Sunday - Siniez, The Hedrons, Country Joe Macdonald (?), Melanie C (One for my Mum), James Morrison, Paolo Nutini (FOR ME), The Fratellis, Keane, ROLLING STONES.

All round good weekend I feel. Over priced food that will clog my arteries and painful feet is what I look forward to! Although I like the Isle of Wight I will never feel the same about it since I got stung by a raving wasp under my arm pit whilst sunning myself on the beach one summer. (About 10 years ago) what a massive son of a bitch.

Alreeeet, well laters.

Gash and poop

Monday is almost over, for this I am thankful for. Work was tedious but Becca was there and that brightened up my day a little, plus G was giving it some good comedy throughout the day. emeline was hung over from drinking a bottle (yes, a bottle) of tequila. I swear that woman is invincible. I can't believe nobody has gotten back to me about these jobs i've applied for. Bunch of arseholes.

My driving test is 2 weeks away and i'm bricking it. I'm going to fail I know it, screw positive attitude. I'm scared! I have a 2 hour lesson on wednesday though, never had it that long before but i'm sure i'll be okay. Deep breathes now.

It's 21.06pm and I have done absolutely nothing all night. Almost fell asleep earlier but I stayed awake because I want to sleep well tonight. I have many thoughts going around in my head though so I doubt this will happen. Saying that, not much keeps me from sleeping peacefully and even though I only had just over 4 hours of it last night they were 4 pretty amazing hours of sleep.

So, i'm experiencing new things in life, and i'm pretty used to no longer having a boyfriend which I quite like now. What's a sufficient amount of time to wait until you start to have 'feelings' for someone else? I have no idea. I'm pretty sure there is no rule, I suppose it's going to happen eventually. I'm just stuck to know whether they're actual feelings or a 'rebound' person without knowing it. I would never intentionally have a 'rebound' someone. That is all things that are bent. Gah. I think i'm pretty sure how I feel. Gash.

Soft and Gentle

How blissful has this weekend been? I am, right at this moment, sat in my room, with all the windows and door open and i'm not in the slightest bit cold. The weather is fantastic I can only hope that it is the same next weekend. At the moment the forecast says rain...if this doesn't change i'm going to kick some arse.

Last night we had a large amount of Chinese, Joseph (Lee? I think so) and me and claire took a stroll up the hill at midnight and looked at the stars and light. We were a bit worried about somethign that was shinig a bit like a star but was much larger and seemed to becoming nearer and nearer towards us. For a minute I thought it may have been some sort of meteor, luckily that wasn't the case! It was definitely getting lower to the ground by the time we left though. Mayb's it was aliens.

Friday is Isle of Wight festival! I'm very excited, although i'm not sure how I will last until 2am on saturday night, wayyy past my bed time! I'll have to whack out party Emily. Friday night is snow patrol and possibly the feeling. I can't remember the order but I do know that saturday is Muse and that will be the highlight of the weekend OBVIOUSLY! Then exactly a week after that I will be attending Wembley Stadium to see them again. With shit support which is Dirty Pretty Things. This Rsomething y Gabrsomething band seem quite interesting and The streets I already know are quite wicked from seeing them at Reading last year but I would have preferred My Chemical Romance and Biffy Clyro. Damn.

I need to scram and paint my toenails now. My feet are disgusting as they are, I need to give them a chance at least.
