I'm pretty sure it's not right for the trueLAD website (www.truelad.com) to be helping me through the day. However, it is some of the best reading i've done in a long time. Comedy + an insight into what the average LAD does on a night out/in general life.
I am excited to learn that the one I call Paul Wiseall may be dropping by at some stage next week for his birthday fun - how exciting! Haven't seen him since feb so will be cool beans.
Amazon are banging out some amazing deals for 'black friday week'. Could have bought Harry Potter 1 - 6 on Blu-ray if it wasn't for the fact it sold out within a nano second.
Tonight is Marinated Chicken Monday! Favourite evening of the week (aside from the standard weekends) This follows on from a pretty cool weekend. Friday night I went for Curry & Wine with Dawne and Tracey, I have to say considering I was in Gospit the curry was actually very VERY good!
Tracey had the obligatory Tarka Dhal (Spelling?!)with some curry i'd never heard of. (I am cultured, or at least I like to think I am but seriously did not know what this was...) I had a Biriyani, Dawne had standard Chicken Tikka (not a fan of curry but comes along for the laugh) onion bhajis and Naaaaaan. Made for a good evening and I stayed at Dawne's. Her house is like the ice age except without the funny squirrel thing and the friendly mammoth. However, She is not to blame for this as her house is without heating. Lucky there were two of us in the room and I was rather toasty all night, that is until I got up for the loo and could barely move from actual frostbite. (Slight exaggeration).
Saturday was the return of Kev Smith's birthday and that meant only one thing - fancy dress. The theme was clowns but for some unknown reason I was roped in to go as Wagner from X Factor by my entire family. Probably the most uncomfortable fancy dress ever. Not only did I look like a man, but I literally looked exactly like my dad. Drinking pints was the worst idea ever. The night itself was actually fun though and we witness Kev proposing to Sarah which was just beautiful even if they were dressed as clown ans he resembled Krusty. I love a proposal, very happy for them! Jay and I left with Damo and Cags about 12:30, woke up with a hangover but nothing a Chairmakers Carvery couldn't sort out!
Watched X Factor and laughed at Wagner's attempt to be Wagner (I thought ours was better) Got dressed and ready for Jay to take me for lunch. We decided on a countryside destination which was The Chairmakers. Never been there before but heard good things and the Carvery was MASSIVE. Three MEATS! I would be interested to know if anybody has ever made a fool out of themselves whilst queuing for carvery? No? Some how I managed this when I was "I'll have Beef and Gammon" "Erm, i'm afraid that's lamb, madam". Okay 1. HOW RUDE. I mean I know my eye sight temporarily deceived me (I put this down to hangover) but no need to speak to me like i'm three. 2. MADAM? I beg your pardon young man. He was about 16, and I am not madam. I suppose it's better than MAM, I may have slapped him had this been the case.
After all that fun and games I now find myself here. Going back to the top I leave you with a few of my favourite LAD quotes from truelad.com
Shopping with the gf(8/10 so underthethumbLAD) and we are in river island for easily an hour as ahe trys things on. Another lad hes in the same position and has been waiting at the fitting room as long as me. Start talking and within 2 mins we head for a pint while they try clothes on. RandomLADgoodideas
Walking through the town centre the other day and see a photo shoot for a local college's prospectus, seeing as they didn't seem like they were paying attention to who they were taking pictures of i decided to get in on the action. me and the LADs then decided to see how many different college prospectuses we could get in. There are 18 schools within reasonable walking distance of my house and i am now in 7 prospectuses, 3 of which i'm on the front cover. anywhereandeverywhereLAD
Just sitting in the conservatory with heaphones on, Dad knocks on glass and I turn round to see his bare arse pressed up against the glass. hairyarseDadLAD
I still have a perfectly round snowball i made last year in my freezer. Waiting for the perfect moment to use it. notwastingperfectionLAD
People say that holding a new born baby is the best feeling in the world. They've obviously never bitten into a Kit Kat only to find that its solid chocolate inside. BestEverFeelingLAD

The Adventures of EG in the MO
I just pretty much had the best ham sandwich ever. Just Ham and Mayo, nothing more, nothing less - IT WAS SO GOOD!
Now that's out the way and I break the glorious news that I got an IOW Festival ticket today! Thanks to Dawne, yippee! KOL are headlining on the Friday night - I can safely say this will make my life. I almost cannot contain myself! FINALLY, I will get to see them. I have waited long enough.
Now that marvy news is out the way I better fill in on what i've been up to. Mostly spending time with Jayboy, went to Southampton at the weekend for Vicster's b-day. It was alright, lovely to see some people. Can't say the hotel was up to much but it did point me in the direction of some pretty funny Aussies/Kiwi's. I think one was called Nathan and the other was called Cohen (Yeah, I asked him if that was a real name, apparently it is..) Didn't get to sleep till 4am, woke up again at 8:30am got ready and drove home - oh yes this brings me onto my other news! I GOT A NEW CAR! Finally, the poor 205 had to go but now I am the proud owner of a 2002 British Racing Green Mini ONE. Hell yeeeahh! It's gorgeous and I just love love love driving it around! The Green Machine!
This weekend I am going to a fancy dress party as Wagner, I do hope people get it because if they don't it'll just be embarrassing and nobody wants that. Friday it's curry nght with TB and Dawne - since everybody else dropped out we've gone for a low key event in Gosport - yeah GOSPORT! It's not THAT bad, or at least that is what I tell myself. ON a better note, we will have immense fun and on the plus side this Indian we're going to has literally the best reviews for a restaurant i've ever seen! One guy said he's been going there since he was 8, he's now 36. Now THAT, is devotion!
It's Wednesday - half way through the week, bring on the weekend! XOXO
